I've seen AC's lowering rh time and time again, that's one of the ways it makes it feel cooler even I thought. I've never run one and not seen it lower rh. ???I used to think so till one of the old moderators explained it to me

pretty rareDoes it actually freeze there annually or is this a rare occurrence
pretty rare
well
every tear for 2-3 weeks we get a freeze
which sux because we never know when it is gonna come
as in
maybe Nov or Dec or Jan or Mar
never know
it will be in the high 60's
all you lettuce and whatnot is good
then weather tells you "tonight we brace for teen weather
it will come in with coastal fog and kill everything in its path
you wake up the next morning and half your crops are freakin gone

pepper plants were fucked
hahahahaAbout all you can grow here from Oct to April is facial hair so two weeks doesn't sound too bad lol
hahahaha
but you know have an idea of when and what you can grow
yeah but with us it is the drastic drop in temps like a deep freezerYou ever cover stuff up when it freezes or anything? I know our first freeze my mother always threw old bed sheets over all the plants she didn't want to die. Always seemed to work. It's the frost more so than the cold that kills them from what I gather.
Or maybe like planter boxes that you could move inside if necessary?
We had the same freeze last few nights up here. I had to bring some plants in and cover a few. No food crops tho just decorative stuff. My wife lost a couple young succulents actuallyyeah but with us it is the drastic drop in temps like a deep freezer
it will be like 58f
then drop to 23f in half an hour
so cellular death
then the fog drops on everything and turns it to a block of ice
real weird shit here
but 90% of the year we range from
58-85F
mostly in the low to mid 70's
