Please help. Flush? Any tips?

I was dealing with overwatering issues and regretfully let them dry for 2 days without water. My tap comes out at about .4 ec. On the 3rd day I used distilled water and lowered my ec/ppms to around .2-.3 ec and slowly increased by .1 or so each day. I’m up to about .7 right now and back to using tap. A couple are looking worse then others and I’m looking for advice on what to do next to help them bounce back. I’ve never had run off I don’t think I had enough drainage at first but I’ve drilled more holes in the nursery pots and moved 2 to fabric. When I was checking roots it seemed smarter to move 2 into bigger homes as the coco was crumbling apart it seemed like it would be less stressful to just move and get better air in the fabric. Today I tried to get run off and wash out some built up nutes but I feed the 1g fabric pots with about 450ml and still didn’t get runoff. I got scared of over watering again and stopped there haha. Any tips or advice on how I should flush them or what to do next would be greatly appreciated. This is also my first time growing so any recommendations that could help me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. Thank you for your time

Water with nutes to runoff, suggested ive always seen is 10-20%, keep the coco mostly saturated, like 90-95% saturated before fertigation. Though, while im letting roots establish ill let them dry slightly more for about a week.

What nutes are you feeding currently? Are you including calmg?

Thank you for your reply I appreciate the help. Yeah I was trying to get the runoff yesterday but still none after like 500ml in 1g fabric pots and I got scared of over watering again so I stopped there. I think that was my problem I didn’t water in the new coco until runoff. I just fed 250ml in the 1g when I transplanted. I was still dealing with over watering issues and I wanted the old root ball to dry a little bit. And have the fresh coco pull some of it out. I am using just canna a and b. And adding recharge mycos to a feeding once a week. I wanted to go with less in more at first and keep it simple until I saw the need. I do have some cal/mag from someone else’s old grow that I can use if I see it needs it down the road

You may want to look into including calmg with each watering before you notice a problem. The coco will want the calcium due to high cation exchange capacity and can pull calcium from your plant to get it.

2 cups (500ml) of fertigation in a 1 gal pot is basically a drop in the bucket. When your coco starts to dry out is when you start having problems. Fertigate until you get good runoff. Discard any runoff, do not let your pots sit in it and reabsorb it.

Also, while I'm thinking about it, when you do fertigate, make sure it's actually being absorbed, and not running straight down the gap in between the medium and the side of the fabric pots. I've had that happen in the past, and quit using fabric pots because of it.

Thank you I’ll definitely look more into it. I’m using canna bags I heard they were pretty good but you’re right I might run into some problems later. Thank you for the advice

Yeah I keep seeing you can’t over water coco. Heard mrmjcoco say on a podcast you can go water now if you want hahaha. I just think I didn’t have good enough drainage and they became water logged. I was also growing algae and little white spots. Thank you for the links. I revisit the first one on how to water coco frequently. Since that thread says water 1g with 250ml and get 25ml run off I got scared when I didn’t get any when I doubled that. I also didn’t water in the new coco when I transplanted because I thought it would help pull some moisture out of the possibly waterlogged root ball. I think that’s why I’m not getting run off

Thank you. I noticed there was a gap in between the pot and the coco. I was just avoiding it for now because I’m just using a turkey baster to water. And I thought that little space might help when I move them into 3g before flower. Should I move them to 3s and wait a week or so? You ideally want 0 problems before flipping to flower right?

After reading the second one and some more of the links in there it cleared a lot of stuff up for me. Thank you. It made getting runoff seem very important but I’ve also seen people say they never get it and you don’t need it. I think I’m going to try to flush the worst looking one tomorrow with the normal ec feeding and check the run off ec. The others are looking healthier and new growth is looking ok so I don’t think I’m going to mess with those
