Having trouble identifying this thing.
Fungus? Deficiency or toxicity? Root damage?

History:
- 8th week of flowering, HPS
- soil, bought from retail store
- basement grow, no tent
-
MIracle Gro (once a week)
- Jobe's crushed fertilizers sticks (dollarama tomato bloom)

- have recently applied habanero pepper spray to fight spider mites
- had fungus gnats (yellow stickies)
- had aphids in veg, used laundry soap + neem oil
- seen some activity in soil like caterpillars, too late to add sand to top of the pot

2 strains (of two plants each) are impacted with varying intensity, the other strain (3 plants) looks unaffected at all.
Thanks fellow farmers!

@basscaptain @oldskol4evr @dire wolf What do y'all think? My thinking is basement = extra moisture and fungus/mold? From what I can see it looks like a fungus. My advice is moving forward to always double check your soil source. I was chicken and didn't start my grow for this very reason. The way I think is: Get a dehumidifier, find the sweet spot for humidity down there. I think normal, healthy ambient for normal household is 46%(?), I may be wrong and I'm going to double check. It's the optimal balance that prevents contaminated air is waiting I'm aiming for here. The rest of the soil stuff, these guys can help you sort. I'm sorry I don't have enough knowledge yet to help sort that part out.

That's extensive mite damage, everything else is going to be out of whack because of that, & whether or not there's other issues you'll never be able to tell, it's at 8 weeks nothing you can do now except read up on bud washing, good luck!

you might add after harvest and freaking major get down on hands and knees clean up,light fixtures every thing within 30 ft of room

ye basement / open space grow sucks if not maintained up to the code, getting a tent from now on just to keep stuff under control

So spider mites damage, thats slightly better than fungus, at least its still vapeable.

throw up a pic of the basement, all them bugs are coming from somewere,i spray like i mention with demon wp i get from tractor supply, safe for kids and pets, critters dont like it,stay at them every 3 months and in no time you have them at bay,let see the basement.
even putting tents down there is a good idea but still, have the pest issue, tents are able to humidify or de humidify easier

You may not like to hear this, but the buds appear to be really small. Probably from the plant combating the challenges. You will see little grow in the next week which is the typical harvest window. Considering the low yield, you might be better off scraping that grow and starting over after you have spend some time trying to work out an pest management plan. The legal grows tend to focus their IPM outside the grow room/building and maintaining a sterile environment inside the grow room/ building.
It is just difficult to provide guidance with so many things going on with the grow.

Can you provide a pic of the entire plant ?
Also , i'm not familiar with all the mites that plague cannabis but the spider mite , most common around here will leave a web of cotton candy on the plant. So i dont see that , but it sure looks like mite damage...

I think everybody offered good advice from every angle...
Particullarly ,anthem , i know its a tough decision to make , but i would put those plants , and soil, completely , in a heavy black trash bag and throw them out... like far away out ....

Besides thr great relief of not dealing with a tough issue , you will instantly dispose of a huge colony of pests and their eggs....

And get some spinosad and neem oil for future to battle the little buggers

One of the stores I helped manage construction on had a similar issue. My project manager told them to rip down the wall and tell her what they say, to send video. Holy frijoles, Batman. Mildew as far as the eye could see. She told them to either invest in containing it, then open store (maybe 3-6mo) or take a loss and let it be someone else's problem. There was no way an inspector was going to sign off on any of that.

If you get spores and such in your lungs, that's no bueno because our bodies house the perfect environment for fungus to grow and multiply.

the ones are the front are the healthy ones, so we're talking about the ones closer to the walls (i reaarange them once in a few weeks tho for better light penetration)
Fan is behind me, this is a heated space and i do have a humidity meter in place which usually shows ~47%

I mean no disrespect to the great advice others have given you, but my hubs was a paint guy who the big builders used to ask for advice. He said similar to what @oldskol4evr , you have to clean the floors, nooks and crannies (using elbow grease method). Once clean, he said you can use Zinnser Bin to put on floors, walls, sealants, It's an alcohol based primer that will lock all staining and moisture out. He said do a couple of coats, don't be in a hurry to do a rush job, if you do it properly, it will last you years. He said you still need combat the moisture problem, too. Most importantly, let it air out well before planting.

Oh i dont mind vaping / burning insects at all, just concerned with health issues and ways to improve on in future grows. Ye they look dec, just this nuissance on like 5% of the future crop or even less. Here's another bud. Btw these are on a plant reverted back to veg when they were brought indoors in back in sept

Be a good crop for RSO, except I let my tinctures sit for six weeks. Whole damn plant aka biomass. Lots of medicine in the nooks and crannies,

Yes, there were a few webs with mites and mites on stalks, eggs under leafs, thats why i went with Habanero foliar application, or gosh, this is a pure poison.
btw - do people vape fresh cut flower? it seems to heat up so gently it gets no smoke at all, and still you get the medication regardless, in a very gentle manner

An actual vaporizer would be best, vs vape, I would think.
