The copper pipe makes it almost impossible for a slug or snail to breach the area being protected.
Your browser is not able to display this video.

I placed the snail on the pipe and it can't advance more than a quarter inch before the negative reaction. They cannot move over the pipe nor even reach half way before receiving a jolt. Any copper will work but being a plumber I have a lot of used pipe. I use to recycle for $ but this has been the best use of the old pipe.

Also, keeping it clean and shiny it works better. Something I probably need to start scheduling a couple times a year

I don't know if the copper would interfere with the plant, never tried that but I have surrounded the stock of plants, from zucchini to weed with small pieces of pipe and that works.

I just looked at Home Depot and 1/2" x 10' copper pipe type m (thinner walled pipe) runs about $24. Cutting 2-3" pieces and placing those around the base of plants will keep the bastards off your plants. Harbor Freight sells cheap tube cutters to make the cutting easy.

Clone crazy

Blue solos are BBHP. Most of the reds (some 30+) are Cherry Wine hemp.

More BBHP with the larger vegging plants

Awaiting more clones

The domes are over basil seedlings not hemp as that one says

I'll have to get some shots of the larger vegging plants today.

These 3

A couple crosses that were part of 2 breeding groups (before I started reversing females) that I abandoned and composted. The larger on the left is an unpolinated GDP x BBHP that will receive some DJ Short Bluegerry pollen this week. The middle one

GDP x Starry Eyed (Freak Genetics) seeded S2, a real looker and

Another GDP x BBHP seeded S2.

These were all flipped back in September and after abandoning the breeding and composting the majority these 3 ended up next to the chicken coop which is a shaded area under a large tree.

These have been more of an after thought as I've got a lot more important grows and experiments taking up my time so these have just been doing their thing.

The 2 seeded will come down within a week or 2 for seeds that will probably sit in the fridge for the next several years while I work on the Blueberry and several other strains.

Never enough time it seems

Finally got a chance to START moving plants out of the greenhouse and flipped like these 6

GDP x Mother's Milk F1's (My Grape Mama?) it's a work in progess

I've been saying early on that this one is gonna be something special. If I get at least 3 girls I'll do an S1 pair and try and reverse the other for a fem pair.

They're pushing 4'. Ah shit, I lied

Sorry... BTW. they're in fking SOLO CUPS, 18oz.

Ah shit, I lied AGAIN This is getting to be a bad habit I'm toast and having a lot of fun, sorry
16oz Seriously, this cross might be something special here. I meant to flip them a couple weeks ago but wanted to wait until the whole 18' greenhouse was framed and covered. The best laid plans and all Now I got another project. Oh for fking JOY

In their spot I moved 5 Gelato's

In 18oz solos, maybe right next to

3 Gelato's in 1 gal nursery pots who stay where they are until I finish the new greenhouse. That should be by Christmas, 2030. That's a line from John Wick 2 I believe. His mechanic tells him about fixing his Mustang, the same one I've wanted since I was 10. In 5th grade I glued together a model of one. Today I want comfort I've also always wanted Maxwell Smart's little red Shelby Cobra but that's all for another hobby sight

Blueberry Hash Plant

All wet with dew and laying down hard. 80 days since flip. Should have come down last week but I got busy.

I had to tir her up

To keep her somewhat upright

She's leaning into the wires and I get get my fingers under her pot.

She's too heavy for the rafters or chicken coop perches so I have to take her in branches. This one will be first, once it's dry

It weighs 6-8 pounds at least. And all the rest
This one, while not as tall as the 8+ foot trees I've grown the past couple years will be the heaviest I've ever grown. BUT, I'm done with trees. This one will get the fans clipped while hanging. I'll try to do a branch a day. Lot's of work ahead

Wonderful getting old Glad you're on the mend

I'm afraid we're gonna end up in the ER today or tomorrow. I believe she's got an ovarian cyst as she said she's had some pain there last couple days and Saturday she was feeling weak and a little dizzy. Not good but I can't just drag her to the hospital. So far today she said there's no more pain, a little tender, no fever or weakness so I wait. Got her back to sleep a bit a go so that's a good sign. It could be just a cyst that filled with liquid and put strain on the ovaries and is reducing in size now as this is common. Who knows but I expect an ER visit in our future. Hope I'm wrong

GDP x BBHP

What happens when you grow outside and don't use an integrated pest management system

A week ago there was no evidence of bud worms (there never is, unless you see one or eggs) but she hasn't been treated with Bt for over 10 days. 4+ months of care and now I'm losing a half oz. Sucks, but the rest looks pretty good. Gonna loop her off and hang her up

she's ready. Loving this camera

Blackberry Kush

Gelato 33

The pink pheno although not a lot of pink right now. These smell and taste sweet, like sugar. I'm crossing one with the GDP x BBHP cross as well as a GDP, BBHP and a Mother's Milk
Hoping I can get the grapes and berries from back crossing to both and seeing what the other two might make with this Afghan throwback.

Beautiful. January 31st

I've taken cuts of the 3 tomato types, 2 cherries, yellow & red and a beef steak as I expect our usually COLD Februarys that turn tomato plants dead black unless kept in the greenhouse. March can be a bitch too so gotta be ready for spring tomatoes.

Gelato
Was hoping for some fem seeds of these two but weather interfered with STS spraying of their sister. Sprayed plant is composted. These two small like sweet candy

GDP x BBHP

Harvest soon I love this cross and am just about out, well maybe a couple oz but still, almost out so, soon

This whole next week 70's - 80's. Beautiful

Hey Plumber I found the video of the lady who explains Kratky and it looks too easy. What solution do you use? She said she used foxfarms hydro. I'm going to use Mason jars like her, and those cute little kits on Amazon.

No go. My BBHP that got the pollen was stolen. I haven’t seen any beans on the crossed plants either. Just didnt go my way. It happens. I'll try again.

Yeah, she's great but with weed we just can't let the plant go on it's own. They'll need fresh nute water every 2 weeks and the water level needs to be the same. Fill it too full and the plant will drown. I use 1/2 strength Master Blend but half strength of any hydro nutrient mix will work
