I was just reading the wonder of Mega Crop but MB is perfect for my grow style and very adaptable. I've got strawberries getting 1/4 strength MB & 1/4 epsom salts, no calcium. Herbs get the same as well as 1-2wk old cannabis but with 1/4 strength calcium.

At flip and flowering I cut the calcium out. I've played with the mix by adding 1 1/2 & 2 x's MB but it didnt make any noticeable difference in flowering so I'm back to full strength w/o the extra calcium.

Also it lowers the pH of my tap water from 7 to 5.8, full strength. That right there is golden

Tomatoes in coco coir get full strength at about a foot tall as this is what the nutrient mix was designed to grow and I'll even use it every 2 wks for tomato plants in soil.

This year for soil plants in pots and garden, veggies only I'm using Miracle-Gro

Bought this at a 2nd hand store a couple years ago and have been meaning to give it a try. I hate Monsanto but being a 2nd hand sale they didn't get shit

I'm mixing 1/2 tsp per gallon once a wk while the plants are still seedlings. I'll up that amount as they grow. So far I have no complaints but once this is gone I will not be buying more. I will be able to see how it compares to MB.

I'm doing a lot more veggies in soil pots this year due to gophers. Fk'ers. I've got corn in the ground and soon a few sunflowers and cucumbers but I expect to lose at least half of those

Masterblend, for me and my grow style works

I use super cheap Schultz 20-20-20 in my garden and when I need to hit it with cal or mag I use the dry ingredients from Master Blend -works perfectly

I've grown cannabis with just 20/20/20 I've got some threads using just that here on the farm somewhere

My soil here on the hayfarm is unbelievable, the hay's already a 12 - 16 in tall

I amend my garden with organic cow manure, wood ash from the stove and I've got a hay compost pile, I tilled some of that in too

I didn't get everything planted because of a nasty tick bite that shook me up Saturday, I've never had one swell up like this, didn't sleep well either because they got me in my sleep both times

But I'll get it done, I'll get most of it done tomorrow, I'm not in a rush

Thanks! We didn't have ticks back in Boston either, but I did deal with them for the 5 years I lived in New Hampshire so I'm kind of used to them, eh...

The bigger problem is my age, I'm closer to 70 than 60 and I think this might be my last vegetable garden, it's becoming a bit much

I'm retired & want to enjoy it, not work like this, not anymore

Plumbing client gave me seeds

Gelato 33 S1's and Gelato 33 x Gingersnap. I had planned on planting a dozen of both today but I just don't have the room in the hot box with everything else in there needing to stay for another day or more.

Took 3 cuts

Starry Eyed fem

She's about a month old and growing like the proverbial weed she is. No more slug/snail bites since the copper wire was added around her trunk and I've got slugs bad in here over night. I've got to order more bait.
Stuff really works and breaks down quickly.

Sin City Juice regs

Plants are all washed out from the LED's & CFL.

Up front 2 Mother's Milk x BBHP fems

3 in back Rhubarb fems. Just started them on 1/8 strength MasterBlend yesterday. I give them only water first 5 days.

Blueberry Hash Plant fem cuts

Taking their sweet time to spread their roots and grow.

Cherry Wine hemp fem cuts

2 on the right should be ready for transplanting within the week, as soon as I see roots poking out the bottom.

Soaked a bakers dozen Mother's Milk seeds last night

and replanted the pots. This is it on those seeds so I better get and boy and a girl.

Looks like a Sarsparilla

and another Sin City Juice. 7 days it took. I left the hot box open a night or two and that may have delayed the seeds. It's a bit chilly right now at 9:30am on the Southern West coast of the U.S. where Im at. Officially June Gloom. We're about 8 miles from the coast and we get this nasty marine layer May and June. Sucks. I use to live 2 blocks from the water in Seal Beach mid 80's. Wet and ugly every morning for 9 months. 3 months of 3 digit temps were dry I'd never live by the ocean again.

Lavender

I'm incorporating this in my sauve. Big hit

Lost that Sin City Juice sprout

Bitten right off by a slug or snail and I had this covered in the hot box. I looked for the bastard but couldn't find it. Makes me want to put a salt shaker up there

Of course the Sarsparilla, which I have thousands of seeds

is just fine

The Starry Eyed cuts

look real good, were not covered but untouched, so I've got that going for me

First tomato of the year

Can't believe the squirrels didn't get it. I declaring war on Monday. Our 2nd time. It's been about 5 years since they last set up shop in MY YARD. Bait will be put out and thinking of loading the .22.

Peppers

Jalapeno and Serranos are awaiting new shoes.

The garden so far

Added a couple cucumbers to grow up the corn stalks and added a sunflower and need to plant 3 more.

Cucumbers and squash

Tomatoes
How it started

How it's going

Beef Master up front, yellow cherries, red cherries and a Roma you can't see. All grown in coconut coir with MasterBlend nutes. They're growing several inches a day.

Beef Master cuts

in 3 gallon pots of soil.

More cherries

2 of each yellow and red in soil.

I also put 3 Roma cuts in 2 gal soil pots and one each of the cherries around the pool.

We plan to can tomatoes and freeze marinara sauce all summer long while making as much salsa as possible

Saturday Update
Starry Eyed

Got 3 cuts

plan on taking a few more so not sure what or if I'll be crossing it with and may also have to over winter a cut along with BBHP, Rhubarb and the Cherry Wine hemp.

Cherry Wine cuts

I'll be keeping all 7. 2-4 will go into 2.5 gallons of coco the rest in half and one gallon. Many more cuts will be taken for a winter harvest and couple mommas for next year's cuts.

Blueberry Hash Plant (BBHP) cuts

Took them awhile to root, same with Cherry Wine as all 4 moms, 2 of each were suffering spider mites and bud rot when they were taken. I had to compost all 4 moms

Fem seedlings
3 Rhubarb

and 2 Mother's Milk x BBHP
Rhubarb should cross nicely with the Sin City Juice while the MM x BBHP cross will be for enjoyment. We all know I'm gonna have to take a few cuts of both but doubt if I'll keep moms of either. Only so much room

Sin City Juice

Got one more to pop these are regulars and I'm hoping for 1 boy and 1 girl and make plenty of seeds

Mother's Milk

I love this one. Reg seeds so another breeding project this year.

Couple of Sarsparilla

GMO Rootbeer x Pure Michigan. I shouldn't have planted these with everything else. I've also got 10 GDP seedlings and 6 cuts so space is becoming an issue and I may have to cull a few.

Mr plumber, when you mix up gallons of calcium nitrate and magnesium to go along with Master Blend, what PPM do you mix them to?

No clue. Honest. Haven't measures even pH in 4 years. We get a report from Vista Water every 6 months and no real changes have been reported and I'm growing like I know what I'm doing so here we are

Starry Eyed mom

2+' tall and thinking of giving her a 3 gallon pot. She's in a 1 gal and growth rate as been about a half inch a day lately. That will increase quickly no matter what I do, within reason of course but I'm really liking the idea of letter her just grow and keep taking cuts. Solos or 1/2 gals I could grow a bunch.

Starry Eyed cuts

I don't see any roots yet but the plants are stable in the rock wool and ready for solo cups.

Speaking of which, solo cups that is, I transplanted 5 Mother's Milks into solos and then couldn't find my solo that I used for watering Today I found it

with a waterlogged Mother's Milk.

Used some snips to poke holes in the cup. D'OH.

The 3 Cherry Wine I transplanted into 1 gal bags

4 more cuts that I need to find a home for

2 Blueberry Hash Plants

4 more cuta of those too

3 Rhubarb fems

And 2 Mother's Milk x BBHP fems needing new shoes

4 Sin City Juice regulars

1 just popped last week obviously.

I think I got 'em all except for the GDP

which belongs on another page

Potted up the 3 Starry Eyed cuts

Mama

is adding over an inch a day now and I'm looking to take at least, AT LEAST, 2 more cuts. I believe she's gonna be special and having more plants of this would probably be a good idea and I'll be able to add one to the breeding groups snd will keep one overwinter Great genetics.

A little warm in the lg greenhouse today

Plants don't seem to mind. I doubt rh would be higher than 40 and that's only because I'm growing in coco. They don't seem to mind that either.

Cherry Wine hemp

are taking off so are the BBHP

Besides those cuts above I've got 6 GDP cuts

and 4 more hemp. What a good problem to have

Sin City Juice

Beautiful. I believe 1 boy 2 girls and have one more seedling.

Yeah, Rhubarb

Not your grandma's Rhubarb
All fems. One, the best one will be added to the Sin City Juice breeding group and several cuts will be taken.
