Mycribal fungus throughout. I've seen it many times in pots and in the ground long before I was using manure and compost teas. It obviously occures naturally but I'm sure the compost tea helped as well as the bio-tone.

The top layer had dozens of sowbugs.

I had added a couple of inches of composted horse manure a month plus ago which may have harbored the bugs. Doesn't matter, all they do is ariate the soil.

I hate growing weed in pots. This poor girl was root bound, just as I'm sure her two sisters are. I have a steady supply of pallets and will make a few extra large containers for next year.

So far I've only tried the trim on the six stems I clipped over a week ago. Good strong high hitting both body and head at the same time. I'll give the buds a try this weekend. They've been jarred for about a week now and getting a deeper and sweeter smell by the day.
View attachment 884879

I've had issues with moth larva in the past (mainly cabbage moth) borrowing into buds so this year I planted a row of 5 Brussellsprouts, a winter plant in these parts.

Gophers have taken two and one is a runt. Look how the leaves have been munched. I've only found one larva on my pot plants and that was a couple months ago on a plant in the greenhouse. I'll try and grow plants of the cabbage family in the future for the moths to target. Seems to work.

Some thoughts on raised beds. I've tried treating the plants individually, watering around each, and then treating the entire box as one and have found much better growth treating each box as one living unit, watering the entire box. I mention as this has really made a difference. Just food for thought.

Work has been a killer lately and I'm beat. Really need a vacation or at least a few days in the mountains doing nothing. Discussions with the boss continue. Soon, I hope or I'll have to push back my upcoming coco grow.

Time to get hammered

Gopher whackers? Wasn't there a Bugs Bunny character that had issues with underground vermin?

The numbers:

Before: Tap = 8.6/106 ppm

Mixed as directed: 6.1/731 ppm

You can mix the Masterblend and the Epsom salts together, but you have to mix the calcium nitrate last after the other two are already mixed into solution

I’ve been adding the calcium nitrate first, let it dissolve then add the tomato and veg then epsom. So I’ve been doing it wrong? I been mixing that way for 5 months with no issues.

Well I'm not sure although I did watch a couple videos on YouTube and about half the people were mixing it wrong I think I have the info on it here

I poured two pints out of the gallon and mixed the 2.4 grams of masterblend into one pint and then poured it into the gallon and mixed it further

then I poured a pint out of that gallon, mixed in the Epsom until completely dissolved, then I poured it back in the gallon and shook it more

Finally I mixed the Cal/nitrate into the other pint of water I had set aside, and then added it back into the gallon and mixed the whole thing well, hope that helps

I go through 4 gallons per day. I fill each milk jug up about half way, add the calcium nitrate. Shake until dissolved. Then add the tomato and veg, shake until dissolved. Then add epsom, shake. Then fill the milk jugs up all the way and pH. No issues whatsoever. Sounds like it doesn’t matter what order they go in as long at the calcium nitrate is dissolved by itself. Thanks for the info!

You and Seraphine are making my first coco grow a frickin JOY! and I haven't even started yet. I feel so bad for those who jump in without a clue and then end up on a forum like this site not knowing what to do and plants are all messed up.

Seriously, you two and so many others here are just a wealth of knowledge. I'd never try this, or hydro either (remember, don't tell Aquaman) without you folks. Love you guys and owe ya big!!!

Great stuff, dissolves instantly! Pretty sure the calcium nitrate goes last, check some Master Blend videos on YouTube, although about a half mix it wrong but you can read the comments there's no lack of people correcting them LMAO good luck

The joy is mixing up a gallon of this! :) I wish I started in with this or Jack's back when and the flexibility forget about it you couldn't ask for more I think this is going to be a permanent thing! My leftover gallons of GH & my all-purpose 20-20-20 are all outside in the tomato garden already! LOL

Not sure if this would be of interest? Looking for some different Masterblend formulas but there weren't too many, I found this on the Amazon site in a review this would be close to what I would do for the end of flower or the last 3 weeks maybe

..often the last few weeks I only feed Jack's Bloom booster anyway cuz I like a fade at the end

The runt. Hope is fading for this and the next one.

No change at 13"

Horse manure plant. These last three are heading for the compost bin.

Wife's pole beans got a second dose of sulfur as a preventive.

I'm so done with PM.

Received 5lbs of neem seed meal 6-1-2 today that will be added to the soil as well as her new sweet peas in a few weeks.

Hoping to work on the greenhouse tomorrow. Under 3 weeks before my next grow.

Until next time, Happy Growing!

Smoke Report

Just opened the jar, again. Been smokin' this all day and will continue tomorrow. Got 3 rib eyes I'm gonna put on the smoker. Ever had rib eyes on a smoker? You're missing it. To frickin' die for.

Oh, is this a smoke report or a smoke report? Filled the bong with ice and lit it up. Still a bit harsh with a quick 4 day dry and 8 days jarred. Great smell and hits both body and head high BOOM! No guess work involved. Couch lock and buzz, no pain. That's the reason I grow. I'm good but still coughing. Whatever works.

Rolled one up. I don't roll many until harvest. Still pretty moist, had to relight a couple times. That jar sweats it out. Strong chem taste but still coughing. Higher then a kite. Hope I can find my bed in a bit.

Watching a pre season nfl football game from last year. Became a Raiders fan at 10 yrs old when they lost to Green Bay in Super Bowl 2. Shoot me. My old man was from Wisconsin before there were Cheese Heads. Loved that guy, really miss him, more every day. So yeah, I'm toast, enjoying not being in pain. Call me crazy! Time for more ice in the bong and and another vodka tonic. Sure glad I've got Lemmon trees.

That sounds amazing, I know what it feels like to be lifted of chronic pain. I don’t watch a lot of football because I don’t have tv but I watch the super bowl . Remembering family is what keeps them alive may he rest In peace brother

I have a couple issues with septoria leaf and powdery mildew this year on some of my crops. I’m going to try a cover crop: mustard ‘pacific gold’ for next year. It is an organic substitute for methyl bromide which is used to control soil born pests. Also, PM is host specific so the species that infects your wife’s pole beans will likely not infect your cannabis.
Here are some more organic options for PM that I found in one of my old textbooks:
