Looking real nice broham! Can't wait to see em after stretch and buds start showing! That cherry slyder x sd will be diggity dank! Is the Skunk IBL the HTC that was up at Joe's Auction? Is it road killy or sweet?

Yup...it's the Skunk IBL from the auction. Hopin' for some roadkill....we shall see

The CS x SD are seeds (fems) I made...completely by accident. I ran the Rezdog SD IBL for a good year + and saw no herms. However, I placed one in my greenhouse with a whole bunch of "elite" clones and other ladies I was running at the time and she got stressed out 2 x in a row (wilted) and then popped a few flowers...subsequently pollenating the entire smear.

I didn't notice it until i was starting to smoke the buds and started to see random seeds in all of em....

I kept em...and passed some out to other folks with the knowledge of "how' they came to be...and so far every seeds has been a female (20-25 popped) and no hermies have been found to date. most are close reps of the clone but some grab some of that SD dankness too.

from memory....(I believe these to be fem seeds) all of these got crossed with the SD....

Cherry Slyder
Jackie O
Al Walker
Ortega
Abusive
OG Ghost cut
Smashberry (plan B)
Sour Diesel IBL
Bubba Kush

so far, so good. Time will tell if any of the rest of these are fems/worthy.

s h

I've yet to pop that one, az. My next run will be a variety of these fems and a few choice selections from THCBay...

still a few beans around....some more than others. As an example, the Cherry Slyder offered a few hundred beans while the Bubba Kush only offered 2.

how many runs did you do with the Ghost and CS anywayz?

s h

Well let me know if ya got some sd ibl x sd hermi. I'm all over it broham!

Yeah I was close to scooping that htc skunk. Decided to wait to pick up som DNA rks. Please don't tel me I made a big mistake ! Lol. Well actually I hope they are the road kill! Good luck homie!

I just checked, bro..there are about 20 SD x SD beans. Also have some SD IBL S-1's....

As AZ also eluded..i think the Ghost x SD's would be dank beeatches also. (gonna guess there's 50-75 of these)

I'd be happy ta share....

time will tell on the skunk. Even if there's no rks the reports are that it's dank/good smoke...so hey...we shall see.

should be getting some of Swerve's OG in house this week. I'm damn crowded...but I may pop em anyway and MAKE ROOM. The house could use a good shot of Lemon pledge! Friends are gonna do the C99BX1, Pine Queen Haze, and SD x DC.... so somewhere along the way there should be a good one in the mix....

rock on!

s h

Yeah man Swerves OG has earned a spot in my garden every run. I've only run the SFV though, cant wait to get a crack at the Raskal, Tahoe, and Larry.

Yeah man, you got some mad plants to work on! I'll update my ish later now that I got some batteries....

PM headed your way broham.....

small update:

A coupla "scream" shots in the dark. It's kinda tough to move around as it is in there with a bad back and it was lights off so ...um...nothin' special.

I'm starting to see some characteristics coming forth.

The first thing I'm noticing is how each strain reacts differently to this "supersoil" mix. Even @ 1/2 strength...this is too hot and I'm seeing some definite lockout/etc.. Of course, WTF ya gonna do about it but ride it out? I'll be going back to my mad scientist routine/teas/guanos/various bottles of this/that and applying "when needed" after this go....but til then...we'll just ride along and let things happen as they may.

a few notes:

Lapis #5 - Preservation Haze #5 - Both of the Skunks - all are budding profusely with dense indica profiles and and all are about the same height. Cuts from all of these will be destined for the next round in the DWC buckets.

Cherry Slyders...hanging back....not forming up the buds as I'd hoped. Since i need to get the cuts going for the next round... these may not make the cut for the big buckets this time. Gonna wait and see what the clones do...maybe next round.

Chemo OG - 2 of 3 are lagging.... one stretched to the ceiling. Not sure here either about tossing em in the buckets until I grow out the mom/clones and see what happens down the road. You can see othe strechy one in the pic in the back.

plants in center are the Lapis/Skunks and the #5 Pres Haze. A taller Pres Haze is on the left that may get a representation in the buckets. gotta take a closer look tomorrow....

just another crap shoot here!

This where u used the sun tubes? Still thinkin bout scoopin those. Interesting on the SS. I'm thinking bout goin 20-30% super soil and adding as necessary but like you said- what u gonna do?

Can't get my temps below 80 with 5k but I can deal with that hopefully...

Thank YOU tremendously for the SD. I got 1 of 2 SD s1's to germ and of 2 SD IBL to germ. I promise to get to you a cut when I find a keeper!! Bout to pop some OGx SD IBL to find a keeper and I will keep you posted!!

Yup...there are 3 of em in this space.....which is the OLD "hidden" (crawl) space I used for 15 years before becoming legal. The ceiling is a large reflector...aka "a Keef Trrez grow tunnel". I had 6 tubes down here previously so all the hangers and shit were still there and it was a fairly easy retro-fit. With only 4 ft to work with the cool tubes are about the only reflectors that will work down there and leave any growing room for the plants...LOL.

As you know...I had the lamps hanging vert @ first in here. Temps were definetely too warm! the cool tubes took care of that....so they >are< an option if you can't get the temp down otherwise. that place we went to on Harlan sold me that one I got for $90 and it's a damn nice unit....a good 6" longer than the hydrofarm models.

COOL on the beanage. Can't wait to see the results.

tings 'r rockin here, bro. Good luck on yer end. the cold air is comin'!

Kinda thinking out loud...

I got in and took a good look last night @ all of these plants because I need to take cuts for my buckets soon.

I'm in a bit oof a quandary because after taking stock I definitely notice that the plants I DIDn"T put in the supersoil mix are budding as you'd expect....and the ones I DID put in the supersoil are all lagging in the cycle and are failing to tighten up. (too much N (?)

This puts a haze over WHICH plants to take forward to an extent. I can be safe and take the cuts only from the plants that are really rocking the bud...or I can take clones from each...hoping that the ones taken from the plants reeling will act differently once they are out of the SS and in hydro.

I think the SS will do me AOK on the clones I have going.....but the "from seed" plants....um...next time I'll use peat/etc and wait so I don't fuck it alll up and make it harder than it should be by deforming half the plants. LOL. Teaches me for getting greedy and tryin to go too fast...

onward, through the fog....

s h

Hmm....interesting. I'd say take cuts of all. If the SS is hurting em now, thats just the plant not genetics. I'm sure either way they would take off in dwc buckets. That is unless you just think they are weak plants...

I'm in the same quandry, so I'll think out loud as well brother! lol. Trying to determine as things are growin, how many moms I can actually keep, stay legal and be able to take cuts from up and comers as necessary, and veg enough plants. But where as I think you may be pulling clones straight to veg then buckets, I'm kinda looking to house a 4-5 moms to keep in rotation in the vert room. Hopin that SD is one of em. Ideally I don't wanna be doing huge seed runs constantly to find fem's. Playing around here and there in an extra tent is cool, but right now I need to get 3-5 strains dialed and pumpin. Shit I need to find my first fem's first I guess. Lol.

Peace bro, oh and I guess I'm just not high enough elevation lol- 4600 watts with 1 600cfm intake, lotta exhaust and I'm still sitting at 80. Think a mini split may be in order so I can run all 7 lights and not have hella tubes and ducting everywhere.

I hear ya about moms. I haven't kept any for years...but may start...especially if I can find a real keeper.

I think I've figured out what I'm gonna do. From the clones I already took that are now in dirt I'm gonna pick out the phenos I want and transfer 'em back to hydro. It may slow em for a bit...but these are 8" tall and branching profusely. If I take more (small)clones...it'll set e back a few weeks waiting for em to root up and get any size. My plan this go is to nixx a few buckets...maybe going back to 6 rather than 10....and doing much larger plants. None of these new indicas are gonna stretch much from the looks of it....so I think I can push the limits on size and ebb/flow these right in the buckets...ending up with much larger plants at the onset for the next go.

gonna see how it looks rootwise on a few of these after I get REAL high...LOL.

still gonna get colder. Lows in the 0-15F are normal for D-town in winter. Tap that outside air, bro!

rock on

s h

Sounds like a kickass plan there man. I saw how much your bucket plants jumped in size during flower and realized I should probably lock down some plants that I can get to bush to about 4ft and try to maintain that size til I can drop an LB or two a plant.

Bet those plants will eat up way more with 4 less buckets in there man. Good luck on the transplantin bro, Peace man....

6 transplanted....

yeah bro...doin' 6 will keep me legal and will allow me to have a mom and a few starts for later.

I went into 6" net pots for now because I need to grab some new waterfarm guts before i can boot up the big buckets. This will give em a bit of time to recover from loosing some root. I let em get really rootbound in the ebb/flow/hydroton before I transplanted them about 10 days ago... and because that original root mass + some new roots held together pretty well all I lost were some (nice) fuzzies heading for the bottom of the pot. Now that they are in hydroton again they will transplant easily into the 10' 'ers (once I see some new roots peeking out).

plants goin for the ride:

Lapis #5
Skunk #5 & 6
Preservation Haze #5 (3)

I went with the ones that are rocking in the bloom room from seed and plants that I noted rooted quickly in my original notes...and I picked the Preservation dude Haze because I've seen it yield massively outdoors. Not saying it will do it in my room...but the potential is there and the #5 pheno is smelling VERY nice/is damn bushy... so off we go...fingers crossed.

I'll watch the rest in soil as they wrestle with the SS mix...will take more cuts... and maybe next go around I'll have a Chemo or Cherry Slyder or a new pheno of something else that seems choice to run...

sorry for the t-5 glare in the photo

All 6 cuts are now residing in 10" mesh pots. The SK#5 and the SK #6 are a bit stressed from the moves...but hopefully in a few days they'll perk up. The Preservation Haze are stout bitches and took it all in stride. Should the SK's take a dive I'm gonna booot up more Pres. Haze.

Here's a shot of one of the Lapis "moms" main cola from seed. Getting tighter and frostin' up. A hint of da purps in the mix too.

Looking bueno! Hope those Skunks keep up with ya man! Are they roadkilly or sweet?

Sweet.....but dank. We'll see. I didn't have huge hopes of finding an rks....but I trust it will be stoney pot so ...um...it's all good. I've learned NOT to get disappointed when yer running a single pack of something. Such a SMALL peek into the plant. In the end...time will tell if she passes muster after a few smoke sessions.

The Lapis' have more of a chemmy/pungent/astringent thing going on.

The Preservation Dude Haze has a sweet/exotic smell. Dunno how to peg it yet...but it's different.

I'll try to get some better shots. It's friggin hard to do in the dark all bent over....and blind. LOL

it sucks gettin' old! (in another 25 you'll know what I mean)

lovin that lapis, sky my lapis is growing very slow did yours do the same or were they average?
