READ THIS!! Possible upcoming changes to Michigan Medical Marijuana Act

This information may be a little dated I just came across it today when I was researching what was on the agenda for The House Judiciary Committee for today. I saw on the news the committee is listening to proposals aimed at clarifying the law today.

Talk about a set back on our rights!! These proposes changes are outrageous. Let your representatives, senators etc. know how you feel about these changes and where your vote will go if they try and take your rights away.

Bottom line we MUST get Kuipers and Schuette out.

The proposed changes: If you can't just click on the link you can highlight it then hit the left mouse button and go to the link... that should take you there.

Damn. Is the MI ACLU involved? Particularly with the photo on the card part. We (Maine) just did away with the entire patient registry so it's voluntary for patients to register with the state. Otherwise all they need is the doctors recommendation. That was all from the ME ACLU. Really sorry that MI's laws are turning sour (potentially).

Schutte must go!!!!!!

This is getting out of hand, 64% of Michigan voted it to be legal for Medical use!.........I think its safe to say that 100% of Michigan dont want to see the Mexican Drug Cartel take over the marijuana distribution AGAIN!.....and not to mention the heroin that they are starting to flood the market with like they already have!!!!!

Wake up Lansing!!!!! pull your head out of your ass!!!!

I couldn't find anything about the MI ACLU being involved with these proposed changes. It looks like they are involved in suing cities that have banned Medical Marijuana which leads me to believe that they will get involved being that one of the changes purposed is to stop lawsuits against cities.

Maybe you can find something I didn't here's a link.

Four of these bills passed out of committee this morning. I think they go to the House for a vote next, if I correctly understand the procedures of these scumbags in the legislature.

these bills moved forward, according to house.michigan.gov:

HB 4834: requires a photograph on a medical marihuana identification card.

HB 4851: clarifies the definition of "bona fide physician-patient relationship" pertaining to the use of medical marihuana.

HB 4853: implements sentencing guidelines for the crime of selling or providing medical marihuana to an unprescribed user.

HB 4856: allows transporting medical marihuana in a motor vehicle under certain circumstances.

Local activism seems to be split between two groups: the medical cannabis community and the MI Norml / legalization group. MI Norml seems to want to forget about these short term issues and push full speed for something closer to legalization.

interesting thanks for the information...biggest problem i see on that short list is the bona fide patient physician part...seems hard to prove that one...anyways the longer list above is basically a gutting of the law completly making it illigal to do anything...the canna community needs to unite, fuck this legilization shit they give us an inch and we want a mile? same reason weed shops are shut down, took the mile and they reacted...cant poke the bear and not get a response...for fucks sake i know we all think it should be totally legal but it wont be, and not anytime soon sorry normal...i think the only thing to do is wrtie your politican, good luck tho most are republican dicks who would rather have a scotch than a spliff...fuck em
