I've seen two methods. Drilling a hole at the base and putting bamboo skewers through it and then seen them split with a knives and stick a wood wedge in the split and tape it together

Yeah, I use a drill, or I split the stalk with a box knife, and I stick a zip strip through the stalk and snip, I can get like 8 plants per zip strip. In my side by side comparisons it definitely works as advertised, the Dutch have been doing it for years.

I'm definitely going to try it on a few plants this year. Some say 2 weeks before harvest and others say no more than a week

I’ve done both, you won’t even notice any stress on the plant. I’ve never had one bitch at me for it. I think you would be safe with either time.

Finished up this 3 day job. A lot of transplants and new plants.took 2 days to cut the hill out and cut a new bed around the house. I think we did a good job, we happy with it.

You have a very nice looking garden there sir and I really like your hydrangeas. My vegetable garden the only flowers that I'm growing is my beautiful girls. Some bee balm, mullin and some marigolds.
Thank you, it’s coming along. In 2020 it was pine trees so thick you couldn’t walk through it so it’s a far cry from what it was.
