I posted this about a week ago and one of my girls is looking terrible. She was one of the strongest out of 8 clones after I transplanted into 5 gal she really exploded, then took a hard turn. Droopy leaves and purple discoloration. My temp swings a little more than I would like from ~58 or so lights off to ~78 lights on. Could that be causing this?

rh ~50. FFOF soil with a little perlite mixed in 5 gal smart pots. 6.2ph tap water, about 1 gal per watering. Watered when pot is light and moisture probe reads dry near the roots. Wtf is going on here???

The drooping leaves suggest overwatering.
Yellow colour looks like some deficit(s), at least Nitrogen, and maybe more, looking at the veins.
The burnt tips of the leaves look like some overfeeding.
Also typical the purple stems.
So its difficult to say the main problem, especially if you check the weight of the pots.
Could even be the opposite, not enough water...
Sure your probe is set on humidity and not PH ?
That happened to me once...
Still, my main tool is the humidity probe.

How about foliar spray with aloe vera gel diluted -- it is natural asprin. 1/2 tsp of epsom salts in 1/2 gallon of warmish water substitute for 1 round of nutes. I don't know about the burnt tips -- wonder if cutting off that part would help or hurt the plant. D.K.F.S. SWG hope it helps

I'd say those nighttime temps are too low for sure. Roots dont like being cold. Stick a thermometer in the soil a couple hrs after lights come on and see where it's at. Should be over 65f, ideally low 70's.
Also are you feeding anything? That plant is kinda big to be getting just water I think. How long has it been since transplant into 5 gal getting water only?

Ok thanks for your thoughts. I double checked and yes my meter is set on moisture. It looks like a def to me as well but isn’t FFOF supposed to have enough nutes to last a month or two at least? The drooping leaves and canoeing are signs of overwatering from some research, even the discoloring can be apparently. I can’t believe I’ve overwatered to this point if that is the problem. I even wait until the leaves will start to sag just a tiny bit until I water usually. Guess it’s true that the main problem newer growers have is watering.

I dont think overwatering is your main problem, although as plants get deficient and sick (and cold..) their metabolism slows and uptake of water is reduced, making overwatering almost inevitable after a good soak. It's more of a secondary consequence of the main problem which is the plants overall health and vitality.
If you bring those night temps up into the mid-high 60's and feed it with a quality, balanced vegetative ratio fertilizer, I think you will see it rebound. FFOF has food yes, but that's a fairly large plant and I have to assume that when it started to go pale is when it started running out of food.
Also couldnt hurt to dose it with a microbial product to clean up any sad or dead roots.

It looks to be a pH issue. Make sure your pH is 5.5 - 6.0 (soilless) & 6.0 - 6.2 (soil). Drooping leaves like this = pH imbalance, water sitting in the bottom of media, and too cold; can be one or oa combination. Address this and go from there. correct pH and watch them say thank you! ✌️

Get some temp controlled growing mats under those plants for the evenings/lights out time. That’s immediate and won’t cost you much. I use that every winter set to 75º, that way the dirt in the pots stays warm, as I grow off season to avoid the heat around Sacramento.

This is one of the others in the same tent and she is very healthy, that is what confuses me so much.

Awesome that is what I need to help control the temp in there for sure

So after seeing the temp in Celsius, its less then 15° that is quite low, that way the plants will absorb less water at night and that may explain your overwatering.
Heating mat should help indeed.
And the low temps can also be the reason of the purple colouring.

Alright so I got the plants off the floor and raised my lights up to hopefully help some with the temps and watering. Picked up a 5 tier rack from Lowe’s for $75 and cut the legs down to 5”. Worked beautifully and got and extra shelf for in the room to use for watering over a tote. Just need to adjust my thermostat at night to keep the temps up as well. Going to let them all dry out really well before next watering. Wish me luck thanks all.

Actually got up to 90*f and down to 55*f at some point recently. That’s a huge swing. Was 82* today before raising my lights up. They were at 21” now at 26” and dropped to 77*.

Sorry I missed your question earlier, it has been right at one month since trans planning into 5 gallon and getting water only.
