Living in Spain has its advantages ie great outdoor growing weather, it also has disadvantages ie power cuts. Shortly im planning to go stealth and set up a grow cupboard in the house. We generally have around 1 power cut per week lasting for the most around 10 minutes, in winter when the weather changes to bombarding rain this can be as high as 3 or 4 a day, will these power outage's spoil things in particular when vegging?

Dear Murciano,
Yes they will, if they happen during the day i suggest u run your lighting in your garden during the day as it is better to interupt your day time light(clouds) compared to interupting your night period whitch will cause hermaph.

They are bad all round - your ballasts and lights wont like it, plus you may experience a surge when it all comes back on.

I would spend some money on a UPS - best to be safe

Good luck with your grow

UPS = Uninterruptible power supply

Clever unit that checks the power being fed to the device from your mains, and has a battery backup that will keep the devices powered in event of mains power failure. Small Battery should be enough for a Spanish Blackout.

Peace
