the quimby is crossed to his new-er bb...aka true blueberry... male..so is the azure hybrid....even chimera uses the new-er bb line in his crosses....other folks use the sativa bb cut...I know of no one that is using the indica marshmellow muffin cut...peace...elk..

I don't think a lot a folks have the indica muffin original short cut hell I hear short himself lost it........sad thing is although true sats are a mother fucker to grow so ya hardly see any sativa hybrids grow almost easiest of anything indoors thats exactly why ya see so manty kinda soso kinda fruity sativa hybrids that suck in Colo for instance. Demands through the roof for good beans but the talent working here are for the most part wanna bees n rich douch bags

I don't like the newer sat influenced blueberry near as much and hell even short is always saying he wants hios 96 or something around there cut back
I can see how it gets lost it is hardy as hell and has a very long mother life but when she goes she is done and gives hardly no warning it stops producing clones that root and dies
it really ccumulates micro nute issues too when I got it back I baby her about a year before it got back to the dank clover looking health indica I knew

funny cuz the tiny bit of chucking I d with this cut brings amazing results like our
gear through out in the oldschool days fuckin 90s the seeds were SO much better than these watered down shit today
I splashed it recently with some supe potent OG from a dickhead so I wont name the strain
I also hit it to a GSC/OGkush I used for breeding this season
but damn are the babies looking dank as hell like real ol time moonshine

See and I just wasnt that impressed with indica BB muffiny cut. Maybe it would tastier/sweeter with synthetic nutes but to me was just average flavor wise. The sativa cut is much more BB in flavor.

I found a sfv x dpd that is more blueberry muff/berry cheesecake/straight bb than any of the BB ive run. Maybe if you are looking for something heavy berry and more indica smoke look into the DPD lines.

Double purple doja from Outlaw. Don't see many beans around but have seen some f2's etc recently. He did a pre98 bubba x dpd that might be the berry kush folks want

There's a pheno in those Whitaker Blues that have a real nice pungent candy blueberry smell and flavor. I kept that one around. If you find that one I think you're gonna be happy with her.

@scooby doo How did the "Blues" turn out for you overall. As in finickeness, appearance and ease of growing

lmao I know one thing if anyone doesn't get some just mega pungent tastey stoney ass blueberry nugs from shorts orginal bluberry indica cut no offense but I sorta REALLY doubt its the real deal or you are very definitely not giving it what it needs

I love bud and exotic flavor and the indica blueberry Im referring to gets some acrid ass dank fucking bud with smell looks and thump competitive with or better than most cuts out there today by far
but like I said before it does accumulate micro deficiencies bad and MOST people cant hold it long or bring out its potential
I fuckin really styruggled to get it bangin for a whole year lol didn't even bloom a plant but hell now some my mothers of this cut go 2 full years 24 hours man that is one the longest living moms ever most my oldest go about 18 months to 2 years tops I currently have a blueberry plant still rooting cuts fine will be three end a march shit amazes me
no the real blueberry is definitely a grail quality thourugh bred that just keeps shocking as your skills meet its potentials
but it definitely loves and I say needs good organics living castings quality kelp and bone meal for the win.....

and soo many copycats went around there are a few out there that look similar and are bland as fuck the 96 I believe INDICA dominant DJ short blueberry the actual cut came out a seatle is the bomb..... all the fluffy fruity blueberry copy cats Ive ever seen

Grendel is brudder Motas awesome work a few years back though
Got a couple dozen a them originals hoarded away in a vault
it was actual one my all time favorites and as some really unique phenos some are huge too

They were overall hearty and real easy to grow. I put them through hell too. I had to pick up and move without notice while they were vegging, and so they got stuffed in a closet for a month with little light while I searched for a new home for them, when I found a new spot they went from coco to organic soil and into a room that was far from dialed, and still pulled through pretty well despite all the stress.

Even mix of phenos. The ones that leaned more blueberry were real floral smelling. Pretty but imo kinda bland. Looser spear shaped buds. The (I assume) quimby phenos were definitely more indica with rock hard buds, lots of frost, and that candy berry smell. Good yield too.

I tried uploading pics but I keep getting an error message. Is there a size limit?

I'm loving all the interest in the real blueberry though. Been on a quest to find her for quite a while now. I have lemonhoko's blueberry bx which I just popped about a week or so ago. Supposedly he's got an awesome BB sativa cut that smells just like blueberry.

I was given a cut labeled Pre2k bb that looks just like the one you have @truegrit. Doesn't have that blueberry nose on her though, but she's a real nice plant with a great high. Love her.

Awesome, great stuff. I had two outta the three pop. Both have veg frost. Not sure yet of sex. I feel like ones a little slower than the other. I rubbed both off last night, they are still a bit small but I got a light candy berry smell. I'm popping the rest of I dont find the one with these.

i had a Dj short bb back in late99' she made tiny kushlike indica buds that wreaked of bb muffins. Bitch was a tiny yielder but God damn that shit was good. Today i see the big sativa hybrid bb that I don't like or want.:)

YES, please post pics brother. There IS a size max or whatever you'd like to call it. You don't have to shrink pics too small but I can't remember the actual size... You can also choose thumbnail size. might work better. It will help me in the search for a nice keeper WB. I'm guessing i will be searching for a less airy bud and a more dense lady. I wouldn't want a bland BB just to have it. I rather it be a flavorful plant than anything.
I would like to snag a few other BB beans. It's the only pack I have with any what so ever in it. Like grit has brought to my attention that you can get blueberry notes from other crosses not necessarily having a blueberry cut involved in breeding.
In the late 90's I was told a few times that "this is the blueberry" when id get a bag. Who knows, I just smoked it. Never broke down nugs like I do now. I guess you could say I have a clean pallet on all the BB cuts.

From all the BB pics I've seen of any of shorts phenos they have this droopy over watering look of the fans closer to the bud. I could be searching but looks like a genetic trait of them. I can't find a pic of the quimby to save my life though.
