What I have been running is supposedly a BB that was crossed into itself many times over the last 20+ years in the hills west of Boulder. It doesn't have a tag on it/isn't some famous or sought after "pre-something before you ever thought of growing pot" cut/etc....but it's the best tastin' BB I've ever smoked. My guess is that it would be overlooked y many because it isn't a frost monster (yawn) and can be hard to dial in to get really solid nugs other than the main cola....so it lacks the commercial "bag appeal" many here grow for solely.

Had the "pre 96"/Pre 2000 blahdeeblahbee blah cut back in the mid 2000's. Nice indie nugs but seriously lacking in flavor compared to this BB.....like many BB's out there. Either way there's no Bubba in real Blueberry cus Bubba wasn't even on the scene when DJ was rockin these strains.... At least that's how I remember it. Fuckin old people....

I'd love to find other fruity strains with this much depth of flavor. Cherry/Orange/etc.
The cat's Cherry Slyder was close.....but I know there's deeper/truer cherry flavs out there.
CM has my BB cut now. I S-1'd her and got a decent amount of beans preserved her for look see's at a later date/once I get settled in the new place....but after about 5 years of running her (and all this lemon fuel/samey samey samey SAMEY "OG Kush" shit) I'm on the hunt for other flavors. Any leads/contacts appreciated.

You nailed it. Sometimes it gets super dense sticky in acrid too like dog shit especially outside and organic proper just the other day im trimmimn outdoor blueberry nug battling mega stank stick mess and I thought I stepped in shit several times or that one my damn bostons was about to bust horrible ass sharts on me.
somewhere there is a discussion or two with short where he explains he selected that plant for indica type medical qualities but with a lot a uplifting sativa/thai qualities for his mentals
I don't think it has any thai in it at all but wtf do I know it just don't seem that way at all to me.......id bet what makes the choc thai chocolate is the same indica ancestor that gives blueberry its awesome ass earthy muffin almost wet paint terp because that terp breeds dominant like afros or red hair and freckles if ya got the real one

and lets try to remember before short made the shiz and called it blueberry it didn't exist and everything after it imho of course by definition is sorta trying to name a characteristic not a pedigree sorta like skunk for some reason no matter how sacred the originals are they aren't easy to proliferate over time almost lost
lolz I know before blueberry there was a biker ran strain in the Vancouver BC area called biker blue that was identical to shorts blueberry but an actual old school ibl real deal thing ya know hun seed all the same shit and I always found it an ironic coincidence or more that Vancouver in seatle were neighbors yet short gets pissed off if you said they was related and hell they are identical and blue? hmmmmn lol I have a hybrid of shorts cut to the biker blue called permagrin and lols did that ever raise a hackle or two oh well its about keeping bomb bud in my circle not weird as conquest to sell seeds. The seed business imo is sorta seedy. Even the people I respect in the business the most have some funny fucking stories behind their best gear myself included. Hell half my shit is probably total bullshit I brainwashed myself with enough kush to believe as truth.

yep I always called it boulder blueberry its a good one man but for me it grew with more a sw skunk quality not smell or high just looks and feed habits man I loved that one though she reminded me more of some dank as phenol from some good fucking island weed like the kona from them macadamia nut cans used to come in the 90s idk im a trip though and I do cherish heirlooms and the real blueberry aint the same as that fruity boulder cut but that boulder cuts god a great taste and positive buzz mine really stacked thick yet fluffy sorta bushy plant nugs for me too but hell by looks and shit it may have the same terps somewhere for a taste but they don't even look related to each other and that's just my stoned opinion I don't know shit either

I hear ya.....but LOL...I could care less who made it/what it's related to or what fuckin new tag the kids who weren't around in '96 have placed on it/or whatever they will rename it after they get it/etc.

I just hope the BB doesn't see the same fate as everything else and get renamed as a "kush" or an "OG"...or jezzzus fuckin Christ.... after Kyle Kushman or some goddamn TOY. Fuck me. Shit's getting watered down stupid out there. Too much name, not enough substance.

lol that's why I love ya bro and props I admit I was 20 in 96 but I already had a few years nonstop growing and I was raised by a grower so im sorta a lil less naïve for us youngins Im just a punk young fuck to you old schoolers but I cant stand most the new generation either lol Ill always be a misfit asswipe I guess no matter

All I know what I had back then from DJ is not what it appears to be now. Back in the early 90's it was the shit.
Even coming from Emery is better than what can be found now!
The whole lineup was FIRE.
Still have the Old Flo though by god. She is no youngster but she still has it. Crossed with the Old Old Bubba she is the bitch.

LOL. Hey i didn't specifically say your cut, but what I see going around is pretty similar to yours. And though I know you love it, its not the BB myself and many others have smoked and are looking for from years past. The real sativa'ish (i guess cut), was dense, triched out, and had more BB flavor than yours or mine I ran. Or any others Ive sampled in CO period. Think a few homies are running her these days, but i havent gotten the chance yet. But hey with a pack of original Shishkaberry and an SFV cross that tastes better than most BB's, im alright at the moment i suppose. ha.

As for ghani/bubba phenos- well hear the indica looking pheno i was running is one of the original selections from a buncha old heads. Not my cup of tea though- just muffiny, hashy, fruity undertones aint enough- want the full bb flave. Even been seeing some "bubba" precursors that been round since 80's.

Should see if you can get a hold of any OBs Orange gear if you want orange, hear everything is coming out just super killer orange flavor and smell. We're doing some work with Cherry Pie too, already got some of the blah blah OG x Pie going. lol.

Niijiiberry(97 Blueberry (funk's cut) x G-13/Hp) from seed (found in 8 seeds)

Awesome soaring clear headed day smoke. It has no ceiling so over indulge will have you acting more stoned then you think you are. Leaves a strong berry taste in your mouth well after you smoked her. Does well grown outdoors and in.

I don't think it has anything to do with hype. For example, the cut i was running is the one everyone here is talking about- to me thats hype because it wasn't as blueberry as yours or the cut I myself am looking for. Your cut as mentioned isn't the same one Ive been after forever, some want the same cut i do, some want the indica and some folks from CO like yourself thoroughly enjoy the cut you have. I think the only hype i see with BB these days is the disappointment of not finding the one everyone individually wants. LOL. Except you of course.

Cookies is everywhere now, no longer really a show off. Now its who can actually grow it proper...and when you get out to shit and smoke peoples cookies you know what I'm talking bout. Some crush out the dough and some are still working at it. BB has come and gone from my garden several times, the different cooks and pie have a permanent home!

As for OBs gear, Im not sure what all he has planned to drop but pretty sure his gear is already available to public or will be even more so very soon. He is definitely not hoarding the beans, but i think they are only available in person in Cali or at Cups for the moment but you know folks like i do so shouldn't be a problem outsourcing pick up. But for 100% sure my homies who have run the orange stuff are finding hella orange like you are looking for.

Wazn't insinuating OBS was hording his own stock. LOL. Anyone else with his stock kinda seems to be though. It just isn't widely available. Will keep searchin' for the hook.

Ha No my bad more so meant it, Obs used to never sell gear- now he is definitely getting at with his co Franchise Genetics. I know he also did fem with his Alien Kush cherry cut as well. Ill try and find the list and PM ya.

I watched some medman bud video, and it was the dude from the big book of buds who recieved a huge shipment of bud from medman. In one of the jars there was like pre 80 blueberry or something crazy like that, ill try and find the video, or ask medman what the story is on that.
