My landlord is a Red Seal master electrician who specializes in solar power. He'd absolutely flip over that set up! He's always telling me over beers that the way some people set up their systems looks like they "took a bunch of boxes and threw them on the floor".

Nice job!
I told hubby I need a flow diagram to figure what to do if anything happened to him. He proceeded to explain everything in detail, which I forgot as soon as I walked away. LOL

The batteries need to be 'equalized' every couple of weeks and he forgot once, so had to replace a few. Needless to say he then rigged up a timer to remind him. But I hate listening to it until he gets around to doing it so I turn it off and stick the sign on it. LOL

Looks like under the seat of a golf cart. Big 6v batts $$$

Wow. In that case, I'd be tempted to say "Screw you!" and disconnect from the grid and live off your solar!

Exactly... but in California they deliberately make the hoops you have to jump through impossible and if you lose whatever net metering contract you had. (each generation the net metering contracts are becoming less and less attractive to consumers). If you make the switch you better vow never to go back on grid.
