Proper way of flushing & foliar spray?

Hi guys I was told the proper way to flush in hydro is that you get your fresh water and drain to waste. You cannot use fresh water and do recirc is that correct?

Also I am doing top feed how many seconds is a good flush on a top feed?

For foliar spray am I suppose to drench the entire leaf till its dripping or just mist it on there?

what you are foliaring with will detemine how to foliar, some want you to wet the leaves till run off others want a lighter mist, most important thing is cover the plant top and bottom sides of leaves. If your foliaring with pesticides read the entire label it should be in there.

You can flush and recirculate, it wont be quite as effective as DTW. If this is a middle of grow flush id say get 20-40% run off, if its to fix a salt build up even more run off, end of grow pre harvest flush, depends on how long your flushing, but id go for 20-40% run off or so for a really solid flush.
