I'm getting confused on mixing this stuff and was looking for a little help. I'm probably overthinking it - but, when I mix according to the instructions (I'm adding it first, to RO), pH goes way up, which is expected, but I still show 0 PPM with a Blue Labs PPM meter on the 700 scale. The directions show that when mixed, will provide 100 PPM silica - I know that it doesn't directly equate to my PPM reading 1:1 but I would expect to see it go up by SOMETHING.. The meter is good, and calibrated. I'm using about 1 teaspoon per gallon.

I have heard some people say that they keep adding until they get to 50 or 100 PPM. I don't want to overdo it with the stuff, so I'm not sure if I just keep mixing by volume and not worry about it's PPM reading - or do I mix it until I get 50 or 100 PPM?

Thanks for the help
