Pump size for D.T.W. manifold?

In my flat room I have a Danner 1800 for 24 plants.... I sized it by trial error, first I got a 1200 and it wasn't powerful enough. You've seen the big pump I have for the 16 plants in my vert, that pump is too big, but I wanted to try it with a sprinkler controller / valve and that was the smallest pump that would open the valve.
