It's crazy to look at. Seeing the screen filled in like it is has me super excited for what's to come. Even plant 2 has rebounded well with many many new bud sites. I just keep tucking tucking tucking tucking all damn night.

I've been increasing the ppms with megacrop pretty significantly and the plants love it. I noticed an early sign they were hungry for calcium, while knowing I should have added a little magnesium sulfate earlier on, so I went ahead and hit em' with the calmag. It was well received. I'll probably hold where I am currently for another week and watch for signs they might want more.

This light man... I saw a recent video posted to youtube from a guy called The Hippy Geeks where he took PAR measurements at 36" for the SE7000. Turns out my guestimate numbers were probably closer to correct than not? Still a mystery until I can get my hands on a par meter to measure myself. During my most recent light adjustment using the kill a watt meter, I noticed the dimmer knob has a significant jump from just over 500w straight to 700w. I had to rock it a bit until I was able to get her set where I wanted. In the past week I also raised the light to 36" as the measured leaf surface temperature was increasing and throwing off my VPD targets.

The screen was set to 6" above the rim of the containers but there is now a noticeable arch in the center. I measured it to be about 3" higher than at the corners. Northern Scrogger used a weight tied to strings to bring his more level. I don't have any free-weights so I'll have to get crafty. I'm eyeballing a couple space empty 4pks of Grolsch. We use the bottles for kombucha we brew and they would be heavy enough to get things back in line. The issue is I still need to get under the canopy and it's already tight without extra shit hanging down.

I think that's all for now. Here's some pictures!

I'll be spending a lot less time in the tent now that I've reached week 3 of flower. I'm all done with tucking and I'm pretty impressed by how the canopy turned out. I ended up covering a solid 3/4 of my grow area and all the plants look ready to start putting on some weight. They are still as hungry as ever. Every watering day they look like they are starting to yellow up on me then I feed and they go right back to looking great. On 23Feb they were looking this way but the root zone wasn't ready for water so I decided to give them a foliar spray. I didn't go in before lights this time, I just dimmed the lights down to about 25% power for about 30 min until they dried off. The plants all responded well, especially plant 2 which has been the straggler.

I went ahead and took off most of the fan leaves and did some heavy defoliating under the screen. That allowed me to really see much better what was going on and I ended up re-arranging a few branches into mor optimal positions and removing a couple others that weren't going to make it to the canopy. We have good air flow from up top and below.

Temps and humidity are dialed in. I have no issues maintaining a VPD target of around 1.22 at all times. I've been maintaining the same temperature and humidity for both lights on and off.

I'm still playing with the light here and there. I'm wondering if I should bump the light up on watering days then lower it slightly as the plants dry out over a couple of days to reduce the effects I mentioned previously?

I saw @CannaGranny has a scrogging information thread going on right now. If you see this ping and have some time to stop by I would appreciate any feedback you may have to offer. Now for some pictures:

Here’s your ping! 🙂
All is looking pretty good. As for my opinion the only feedback I can constructively give you is the way they are tabled. The ones you have pushed or moved on out, is a true scrog method. The limbs growing straight through are more along the lines of trellised.
Keep an eye on my scrog post for the next few weeks as I am preparing to fim and table them. I’m finding it’s much easier to show someone versus telling them.
Good luck, I’ll be popping in from time to time to check out your pretty ladies! 🥰

Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate the feedback. I agree, there is kind of a hybrid thing going on here. This is my first attempt at this technique and it's been pretty fun so far. This is also the first grow for me where I haven't done any fimming or even topping which I decided to try based on what I saw from the Northern Scrogger videos. Just tons of tucking branches, aiming for an even canopy. I've also adjusted/improved upon almost every aspect of my growing environment for this run so it's been a huge learning experience all around.

I'll be following along with your scrog thread as well. I'm very interested to see how your techniques improve the process. Thanks again for stopping by!

Well if this is your first grow, I say high five to you! Great job! More so to know you have somewhat of a canopy without the benefit of having topped or fimmed.
Scrogging is an xlent way to triple your take, manage space restrictions and promote better health with managed air flow. As I prep mine for the table, I do a lot of things to promote growth. I top twice and fim once before I ever table it. There is a method to my madness 🤪

I'm looking forward V01 of the spreadsheet data formatting update to something much easier on the eyes. It's still miles better in excel vs here but you'll have do with this for now.

Things have been a little boring over the past week. Really just feeding and pulling off a leaf or two. I miss tucking already but I'm starting to see some stacking and with the good smells tonight I'm starting to get a little excited. This is going to turn out well.

Foodwise, I'm just on mega crop and a little bloom boost with a splash of cal mag. I pulled a couple leaves showing some yellow today. They were older leaves and they let go pretty easily which makes me wonder if I need to give a little more N when I feed next? I've been lowering my Megacrop amount to make room for the additional cal mag and PK boost.

We are back over 600W with the light. I stepped it up a bit and the leaf surface temperature rose a bit and plants showed a little bit of stress so I took the target temperature down by a degree. I'll watch it and make adjustments as necessary to maintain a good VPD while trying to get as much out of the light as I can. I took a couple of pictures from under the canopy so you can kind of see the carpet of green that has formed.

We are rounding third and headed for home. These girls are pumping and I've had to step up feeding/watering to every other day. I also ramped up the TDS by adding a variety of supplemental nutrients and the plants are responding very positively. Plant 2 looks significantly better and it may be the most frosty of the bunch. Plant 1 has the fattest buds so far and plant 3 will be the largest producer. Some color is starting to set into plant 1 as well. I'm looking forward to that show.

The @SpiderFarmerLED SE7000 is at full go. The HVAC improvements I've made have been crucial. I'm not having any heat issues in the area. When I look at my leaf surface temperature data it's pretty clear to see a correlation between the leaf surface temperature increase and time between watering. That's something I'm going to be watching in my next grows. I started to lower the light to see if the ladies can handle any more PAR.

Quick side story. Today I finished my day job, I work from home, and I went to get the mail and noticed two cars parked in front of my house. One basically right behind my truck. I saw a couple of guys across the street and assumed they were those door to door sales people, we get those pretty regularly. Then I went out back to water my veggie garden and noticed those guys across the street had guns, and police badges around their necks. By that time a third unmarked car had pulled up and all the cops were standing right there just shooting the shit. They were all plain clothes cops. They clearly weren't there for me but was like damn, glad I go through the trouble to ensure a good filter setup. So let that be a lesson to anyone who might be growing for the first time in an illegal place.

Man those cops remind me of when my neighbor got busted. He was a bartender downtown and also dealing anything that could sell. It all caught up to him and one day his house was swarmed with DEA, ATF, and locals. Our houses are maybe 12 feet apart and my groom outside wall is right there next to his front door so I had all those fuckers outside the house, steps away from my plants, for about 3 hours. I was paralyzed and sweating the whole time. Not many things are as intense than when somebody else brings the heat to your street

I don't know what it is but there is a lot of police activity around my house. We've been woken up by helicopters and flashing lights all over multiple times. We have some elderly neighbors so that's part of it but other times it's just people and their shenanigans. I'm never worried about it because I don't sell any of my weed, it's all personal. Also, cops don't usually warn you by flashing lights before they kick in your door. Still, that shit gets my heart beating every time.

For real man, that is nerve racking. When I was growing a decade ago, I had a house and 3 of the bedrooms were full. We had 85 plants in the whole house I’m a 2 week perpetual harvest cycle. We had 5 cops knock on the door because of a domestic disturbance next door, and they mistakenly came to our house. They were asking us to open the door to go talk to them. We refused to open the door because we knew they’d smell it and then have every right to search. I kept refusing to open the door and they kept insisting they were at the right place and to let the em in before they kick it in…2 seconds later the neighbor that called them was screaming at them to come to the right house. That was one scary night

The ladies are still moving tons of water and getting fatter by the day. They are looking happy and healthy so I decided to push them a little more by slightly increasing the temperature and decreasing the light distance from the plants. Given the data I have on this light I should be registering right around 1000 PPFD. I still wish I had a proper measurement for this.

I started to back off the cal/mag and boom boost while maintaining elevated K for this stage of growth. Going forward I'll continue tapering down on nutrients until I'm about a week out from harvest. At that time I'll provide straight water for the flush. I'm going to ballpark that these plants will be ready for harvest early week 10? I haven't hit them with the scope yet but they still have a ways to go.

Plant 1 is the only plant showing purple and is also maturing much faster than the other two. Plant 3 is the furthest from maturity and I'm not sure if that one will even be ready in week 10? Time will tell but I'm on a schedule and my very last day to harvest will be right after 4/20 because we are taking a trip to Colorado and that barely gives me room to properly dry and get cure started.

One of these days I'll focus on better picture quality, it would go a long way if I could just remember to dim my lights a bit before shooting. I think you can still get a good feel for how things are progressing. I have a few new angles in this batch. Hope you enjoy!

It's crazy to think this grow has been going for over 4 months now. From what I can tell so far, it seems to be worth it. Lots of sparkly, dense, uniform buds on some happy healthy plants is what I see. These buds are super dank now and the filter is doing a good job keeping that contained. They are ripening up nicely and I have decided I'll chop in two weeks on the weekend of April 15th. That should be close to perfect for the plants and my schedule. I checked the trichomes last night and they are all mostly cloudy with no amber yet. I have one of those wireless hand held microscopes that works with my phone. I tried to get you some pics but they all came out really shitty. I'll have to work on that.

Water/nutes is still steady at every other day. I've stopped supplementing the Jacks bloom boost but have been using the Uncle Johns Blend for additional potassium without adding magnesium. I'll be using only Megacrop for the remainder of week 8 and will flush with just water for week 9.

I remembered to turn the light down for pictures and it made a huge difference lol. Enjoy!
