It looks like you have cubes just sitting on the table, they won't get roots like that, cover the table with rocks then set cubes on it or more rockwool so the light is blocked, also take plastic and cover the top ot the rocks so you don't get algae, you maybe have fert build up in your cubes.Hello growers,
New to this forum and to growing. I’ve been struggling with yellowing, crunchy leafs, with brown tips curled downwards and purple stems. I’m growing black runtz. My environment is sufficient, I use rock wool and Athena pro nuts. Second week of flowers, what can I do. Any all suggestions are welcome.
Thanks for helping out. My ph is at 5.4 and the run off is over 6.5. I hand water when cubes get lighter, it’s hard to feed on specific days due to cubes dehydrating at a different pace. Ppm at 1.5. I’m using growers choice 720, at 70%, 738 watts, temp in veg was 80 now in flower 75, humidity at 45-55.Hello and welcome to the farm
They aren't looking to happy my friend.
Could be a ph or nutrient problem. But need lots more info to try and help.
I grow organically and don't have any hydro experience, so I'm no expert on the subject.
What is your ingoing ph of nutrient solution and what's your run off ph?
How often you feed and at what ppm/ec levels?
What lights you using and whats your environment like?
Temp, humidity
Looks kinda like a few issues like mag and possibly k, which makes me think it might be ph related, but you also have slight tip burn.
Hopefully some experienced hydro growers will chime in
Good luck with the grow
Great thanks, and yes I did cover some of the cubes few weeks ago, I’llIt looks like you have cubes just sitting on the table, they won't get roots like that, cover the table with rocks then set cubes on it or more rockwool so the light is blocked, also take plastic and cover the top ot the rocks so you don't get algae, you maybe have fert build up in your cubes.
Flush with enzymes like hygrozyme. Gonna need a big flushGreat thanks, and yes I did cover some of the cubes few weeks ago, I’ll
Cover the rest. So should I flush?
Got it. Thanks for your advice. But first back that light off as far as possible until this get sorted. The light is going to make this worse fast.
Thanks for your advice, also the plastic are raised up on all the cubes, should they be lowered. The bottom of the cubes is totally exposed. It looks like you have cubes just sitting on the table, they won't get roots like that, cover the table with rocks then set cubes on it or more rockwool so the light is blocked, also take plastic and cover the top ot the rocks so you don't get algae, you maybe have fert build up in your cubes.
NP,yes it is exposed to lightThanks for your advice, also the plastic are raised up on all the cubes, should they be lowered. The bottom of the cubes is totally exposed.
The roots want to be in the dark, and the plastic around it blocks air, thats a big issueNP,yes it is exposed to light
Can you please elaborate further on the rocks, you have any images, what size? Are we talking about pebble size?those cubes are really meant to take a clone and flower it in 8 weeks or so and roots aren't a problem. Put a bunch of rocks under them and watch the diff. ,there is no air getting under the cubes and the roots will stagnate,go brown, and die off,I just covered the table with rocks and put the 1 inch cubes into the rocks. You can flush but until the cubes are off the table a bit you're spinning your wheels. JMO
I just used lava rocks, they are reasonable and retain water in their pores. if you use the hydroton the will float once the table is full,if i grew your style again i would probably put small rounds rocks on the bottom then lava on top, that's just me though, others may disagreeCan you please elaborate further on the rocks, you have any images, what size? No images saved sorry, after I did it for a while , I just ran constant drip across a tilted table, it worked better for me as no timer was needed for floodingI just used lava rocks, they are reasonable and retain water in their pores. if you use the hydroton the will float once the table is full,if i grew your style again i would probably put small rounds rocks on the bottom then lava on top, that's just me though, others may disagree
I dunno, those rockwool cubes are shit and wasteful , they are good for the first while or cloning but they need to be suspended IMO to get better growth and suffocate the roots over time. Run it the way pictured and then put a cube in a net pot with a dripper and see the diff.idk imho i dint think thats the issue but raising them cant hurt i guess
Yeah i think he has a high amounts of accumulated salts… id be curious to see the pom if he ran just water and enzymes catching the first bit of run off… im feeling like it will be well over 2000ppm.I dunno, those rockwool cubes are shit and wasteful , they are good for the first while or cloning but they need to be suspended IMO to get better growth and suffocate the roots over time. I ran tables for years. I had 6 with 72 plants per table,I would flower them as soon as the clones had roots,I think tables are only for very short plants and production as single buds etc.,I also took all the plastic off the cubes and huddled them all so it was one big cube and the roots all sharedidk imho i dint think thats the issue but raising them cant hurt i guess
