Regular freak show from what I found on the website says its mid level when it comes to thc --- 18%-20% range. Supafreak is "supposed" to be higher in THC (25-30%). I'm repeating what I have heard, I don't know this for sure.

I have not been able to find this strain on Seed Finders by the name of "mofeta sangrante." Anyone know who the breeder is?
That is using today’s numbers! Five years ago, freak show, would’ve maxed out at 10%! Maybe not even that! I looked also and couldn’t find it! I think she said it was some testers or freebies! I think the marketing boys have gotten a hold of the Thc percentage numbers! In the last five years!

Anything is possible. I'll ask a guy I know that has grown it and see what he says about how it stacks up.

While not real common, colored trichs, usually purple or pink, do occur. Sometimes you get colored pistils too.
I did some research. It’s genetic without a doubt. I just have never seen them. I hope to be able to tell when they’re ready. They’re a little behind my strawberry dream even though they germinated at the same time. I took more pics today because it’s fascinating to me.

Do you have a link to the breeder of this cultivar? It's certainly a keeper if you're into saving clones from your runs.

You have some good gear I see, but I think that those colorful trichomes are 100% genetic. The good gear just helps you manage your grow. The name of the strain suggests its genetic as well. I will have to take a look at it sometime. I like things that are a bit different. Like SupaFreak. It's also on my list of strains to grow.

I agree. It’s completely genetics. I have six other plants in that room, all healthy and happy, with a nice flourishing of trichs but none are purple. The genetics are from Deep Green genetics and I got them at NECann in Boston last year from Sticky Fingers seeds. I’ve bought other seeds from them before. They were a freebie I juat figured d try. They’re strains from Hawaii. I can’t find the mofeta sangrante on their website now. I just emailed them with a question about how they look when at peak THC, hopefully I get an answer. I only had 3 seeds and two turned out female. One only has the brilliant purple trichs.

Yes, I would like to know what they say. The cultivar has my interest. I was able to trace it back as far as "Sticky Finger Seeds" but found no mention of the strain on the Deep Green Genetics web site.

Here's another interesting tid bit about this strain ... I ran it through Google Translate and its translates out to Bleeding Skunk or Bleeding Polecat strain. The name says it all ...

I’m asking the seller now who bred it and where it came from. It’s just funny it was a freebie and I didn’t expect a lot from it. It does have True Blood lineage in there. I’ll take a pic of the seed pack.

Interesting. I didn’t think to translate it. Haven’t heard back from the seller yet.

I also just realized I have two seeds left. There’s no guarantee I’d get the same pheno, but it’s worth growing again. I’m not expert enough at cloning yet to tackle a cloning of a flowering plant.

What does she smell like? Is there any "Roadkill" or deep skunk odor to the cultivar you're growing?

It can be done. It's worth-while under special circumstance like super distinguished traits in a pheno. A flowering cut will root. It will also re-veg so there's a lot involved. I thought long and hard about doing it my last run ... but in the end, I chose not to take clones during flower.

If you decided to take on the task, its easy to do in an aero cloner. A good cloner is worth the money if you plan on keeping clones. If that isn't in your plans, that's fine too. It would take a while to re-veg and start growing again.

A few months ago someone was sharing pics of a strain that has red sap. You cut a clone and the fkn thing looks like it's bleeding, lol. Supposedly even "bleeds" from guttation. Nothing psychoactive with the color, it's just cool.

Yep, it's the extremely cool part ... the purple trichomes that has piqued my interest. If it has some old school skunk funk, even better!

She smells a bit skunky. She smells gassy too. It’s a little hard to smell one from the other in that room. I have three different strains going in the same grow room.

Let me know what the outcome is once she's done and she's had a chance to cure.

I’d love to clone this plant, but I dont have the equipment, and not sure I can afford it before it’s too late. Cloning is the next thing I’m going to practice more. I always end up running across seeds that pique my interest and want to try a different strain, so just end up using seeds. I also don’t keep my grow room going in the middle of summer because it costs way too much in electricity. But this year we have the new solar panels, so maybe it’ll be doable. We haven’t figured out yet how many kWh we’re using although we can see how much we’re generating. This pheno is just too cool looking though. I’ve got to find a way to clone it then keep it going long enough to take more clones.

Heard back from the seller. Who does not know the breeder or much about the strain. It is a freebie for them they give out at conventions etc. He thinks that mature trichs will just be a deeper purple.

I don't grow indoors during the summer months. The grow equipment + central air drives the electric bill through the roof. So yes, I can relate completely. I'll be starting Roswell Code, Elementz, and Strawberry Tree by Anesia seeds towards the end of summer. By then, I can afford low intensity lighting for the start of a new grow.

I wonder if there's a way to get my hands on this strain? I'm not asking for Freebies. I would pay a fair price to get ahold of these seeds from the vendor.
