PVC pipe?

I will be building a DIY UC system here soon, I was wondering if I need to use just the PVC pipe or CPVC pipe?

PVC, polyvinyl chloride, used for cold water only, and CPVC chlorinated polyvinyl chloride, used for both hot and cold water.

I remember a building inspector (friend) say that I should use CPVC on my salt water reef aquarium. wondering if the same applies for this set up?

I think PVC will be fine unless you plan on running hot water o_O

Did your friend say why?

Pvc works perfect with the uni-seals I wouldn't mess with that.
