question about flowering, please answer

i wanna start flowering but i was wondering how dark does my grow area have to be? like pitch pitch dark or dark enough to where im outside and only light is moonlight? dont wanna spend money buying something to seal off but i also wanna flower right so someone please tell me exactly how dark it should be and some examples would be cool thanksssssssss

Rule #2 (after "Don't tell anyone")

You will get out of your grow what you put into your grow.

If you can't afford a $10 roll of black plastic to seal your room properly you may as well hang it up now and buy from the street.

Seal your space....then turn on a shitload of light OUTSIDE the space....and climb in. If you can see ANY light leak...seal it. Light leaks (even minimal) can induce hermies and will certainly cause fluffy buds that take forever to "finish".
