Yeah generally we feed the ratios we want and base the concentration off the response to nitrogen. Its a very complex topic when you get into the ratios but generally speaking you can have a high N ratio with a low availability due to nutrient ratios and how they influence eachother. Or a low N with high availability. So its not something you want to do by an individual ppm of nitrogen but rather how the plant reaponds.
eg Athena nutrients can be run at like 3.0 EC mega crop at like 1.6 its just easier to go by plants and establish a baseline for your type of grow, environment and nutrients then you can make use of those number in the future.
Basically somewhere between 100-200ppm of nitrogen will be ideal depending on the ratios of your nutrients so as you can see thats a huge difference
