Question From Experienced Grower

Hello everyone. So my 600watt MH bulb blew (weird considering its only 4 months old) it is going to be a few days before I receive my new one in the mail. I do however, have a 600watt HPS.
I have herd it is fine to use a HPS for veg. But I haven't herd of anyone starting their veg with MH and midway through, continuing the veg with HPS.
I run an 18 and 6 cycle, I just do not want these to go into flower because I still have to take some clones in a couple weeks.
I am not looking for speculation, I am mainly wondering if anyone has actually made the switch midway though and what happened when they did it.
Thank you in advance for any experiences you might have to share.

it works but they will act more pissed off..don't over-feed and keep the light higher

They may spit at you too...wear glasses to protect your eyes! LOL...I don't know about being pissed off. Maybe moderately disgruntled? sry Natural...I had too.
They will notice the spectrum change. they will do fine. I seen flower with all ML .
Their growth pattern may change, ie.. more stretch. Its only a 400 compared to your 600, so I wouldn't raise it.
Do you have any cool (blue) fluorescents you can add? keep the 18/6 light reg.
In all they gonna be ok.
