Question on topping my plants

Hi All ,

so i have topped my plants in the center of the main stem. i have let them grow now for a few more weeks.

side branches are now comming up . My question is to increase yield is it worth topping all the side branches too ? i am going to be doing a screen in a 4x4 with 4 plants.

want to fill the tent up this time. so does everyone top all the side branches when they come up ?

Ive had some side branches i topped end up with a weak/shorter branch on one side before. I just snip them off and move forward.

No dont do that..let the side branches grow out now and do there stuff.once you up pot them drive some stkes in like i do if you like to hold those branches firm once they are loaded up with buds.

ahh ok . cheers max. i thought more topping on all branches would mean i will have more tops

It does but doesnt necessarily mean more bud.checkout peat phreaks grows topped at the 4th node you and will see how yours gals could grow...i top around the 7th,8th 9th nodes as i want as many branches as i can before i top....but im looking at topping early like you have and peat phreak to see if i can get more bud sites before flippping to flower..ive topped very early in flower to mainly stop the stretch ,also there been no reduction in end weight.

I’ve never let it get to 7 8 or 9 nodes before topping. But makes sense to get more branches first . I’ll check out the video

I'm a topping nut and I say go for it...but you can over top and make a mess of inner growth with too many leaves. I top 4 - 5 times before I flip but I veg for 2 months plus so there's time for them to recover, No topping within the last 10 days, I want good growth after topping or I just get 2 small pine cone buds where I topped
