When you have a hydroponics system once the roots are touching the water do you need to keep running the water pump? I know you need to keep running the air, but what about the water pump?

yes you do because you do not want your roots to drown i have never grown hydroponics but have read many useful information on it.

yeah you still need to keep the water pump running 24/7 or else the buckets will drain back to your resi and your buckets will be dry

Ya the water pump is submerged. It is suction cupped to the side of the thing.

Its not that big lol My floors are wooden and echo a lot. I'm thinking about just putting foam or rubber underneath the res.

yeah just put some thick rubber matting or a blanket under the resi and that should at least muffle the echoe some
