I want to use a rain barrel to water my mother's. Anyone have a drip timer recommendation? I do not know the water pressure Psi, only that the system will be gravity fed. Timer must work on a very low pressure, I would think. I will be using a hose end drip system.

I've done it with a regular light timer and a water shut-off valve from a old junk refrig ice-maker, installed in the barrel ...works great, but the collection barrel bottom needs to be no lower than the tops of your pots to work best....simple and cheap...;)

Why not use a pump? I don't know of any gravity feed timers. Others may though.
tell me more.. you think just use a submersible on a timer and make a pvc pipe manifold with 3/4 pipe thread at the end? connect the hose connector?

Submersible pump. Half inch tubing. Then 1/4 inch lines off the half inch. Above your water line in the res make a additional small hole to allow air to stop the water siphoning from your res.
