First time doing autos.
I lost all pics from germination, but these seeds started in paper towel.
Third grow overall.

Today is day 20 from sprout.
5th node emerging. Only a few inches tall.
4x8' open room (converted mud room) with circulating fan, out take, small humidifier.
Temps in mid 70's F and trying to keep r/h over 60%

5 gallon grow bags with promix HP.
No nutes yet. Will start feeding on next water in a day or two.
Using 1 part MegaCrop.

Light is ThinkGrow model H at 33", 50% dimmed has 340 ppfd at the plants .

Thinking of topping after another node grows out, maybe next week. (?)

Nice looking plant.
I would not top until you have at least 7 or 8 nodes, maybe 9
Then top at 4 or 5th node. My reasoning she is small and tight node spacing.
Best of growing keep her updated

Thanks. We'll see how long that takes. Not having done autos before, I have to watch the timing of that. (Topping)
So far so good though!

I miscalculated by 2 days earlier in my first post
Today is actually 3 weeks since germination.
Bit of a growth spurt the last few days. Stem is getting fatter so I guess roots are getting going now.
First feed yesterday @ 580ppm of MegaCrop.
Still stable at 77°F and 64% r/h
They're both right at 4" tall.
Lights still at 340 ppfd. I'm kind of letting the plants grow up into the light rather than moving the light, but these ones are taking their time getting taller so may have to drop lights at some point.. (?)

I think there looking good and your treating them right. I have 2 going outdoors with my photoperiods and talk about slow growth LOL but i knew this when i set them out there. They love 80-85f and lots of light. I'm feeding mine Mega Crop part 1 also and i just received the mega crop bloom booster for down the line during bloom. I've never used that before so we'll see. Your doing well with these good luck and keep us posted.

2nd time using MegaCrop 1 part. I like the simplicity of it.
Tip: if you happen to grow tomatoes, take your runoff and mix it with water and feed them that. They love it!

Yeah if I top these I'm guesstimating (very roughly) it'll have to be during the next couple weeks.
I won't chop them twice. Once should be fine. Not growing for yield, just for fun and to try and finish with a coupke totally healthy plants. (A lot harder than it sounds indoors).

I was a bit concerned about giving that many (500+ ppm) nutes to start with, considering they are getting well water (PH'd) which is naturally around 150 ppm... but I don't see any tip burn so far and they really started going afterwards.
Stems doubled in thickness in a few days.
I can also smell them already (??!) is that normal for autos only a few weeks in?

Ps. I don't see any pistils emerging yet, and the 5th nodes are JUST emerging now...
Should I snip right there in a couple days or leave them as-is?

I personally don’t top my autos, just bend the top down daily but sometimes my plants get a little too big for my space when they really get raging.
I also haven’t noticed anything different about feeed and feed my autos and
Photos the same way

Thanks for your input. Not having grown these before I think I'll leave them alone and see how they do.
It looks like they'll be too robust to bend over/tie down by the time they get tall enough to do so.
They look a lot better at this stage than the SR71 photos I grew last year... Which also took WAY longer (over 5 months) to finish... and ended up with mites during flower which messed them up.
I'd rather have quicker/less yield and cleaner bud than that mess!

30 days from germination.
Plucked a few large fan leaves that were shadowing, and LST on the stems.
First time LST as well... Trying to pin and fan out branches as much as I can.
Some minor tip burn on one plant so the nutes were actually a tad bit high, but hasn't gotten any worse.
Is there a basic app that gets rid of that LED banding? Fuck that's annoying !

Into week 5 now.
It's hilarious how small these are 😂
But they look healthy enough.
Lots of pistils emerging.
Ph 6.4 humidity down to about 55% temps around 80° (on)
Will up nutes next feed .
Lights now at 100% and I'm being shown around 800 ppfd at the top bud.
Using the SUN setting on the photone app. I'm unsure how accurate that is.

LOL i hear ya about size of autos when training LOL. Some folks have a magic touch with them getting huge harvests. I sure never have that's why i grow 6-9 at a time LOL. Now i've got these 2 godzilla cookies outdoors in 3gal fabric bags. I did'nt top them at all no training and one is 30" tall and starting to bud the other is few weeks behind it. So i got lucky with this strain, some never get over 18" high, there just a toy to me.

What genetics are you running? And are you in soil? You probably already mentioned but I don’t remember.

With my autos, it’s harder to keep them small than it is to get them big. I grow in Coco though and have only ever run Nightowl autos.

I think genetics and media are the biggest things tbh.
I start mine in small pots and transplant when they start to show pistils and it’s always worked for me, but every situation is different.

It's a fast flower auto called Rainbow Kush.
I'm in 5 gallon fabric pots filed with ProMmix HP. 1 part MegaCrop for nutes .
The leaves looked more indica earlier on, but now in flower they're looking more like witches fingers, thin and wispy / sativa (?)
One plant has a main cola .. the other seems to not have a dominant one at all..
A mouse must have died nearby as I've got those green bottle flies everywhere in there. Do those do any kind of harm??
35 days from germination->
( I should have called this Diary of a Wimpy Kid 😆 )

6 weeks from seed.
Had a few hot days which pushed the room upwards of 86-90° but still managed to keep RH up around 60% (VPD). Couldn't get it any higher with cheap table top humidifier.
RH back down around 50% now with the room at 75-80° or so.
Plants are now 19" and 15" tall.
Hoping I at least get $50 worth of bud out of this to cover the cost of running the light!
See how much the buds develop over the next 2 weeks...

Sometimes with homegrown it comes down to quality, even if your yields aren’t massive you’re hopefully producing bud that you couldn’t afford to buy.
Where I live I can get 2 oz of trash for 50$…
Also if you’re only 6 weeks from seed and looking at your buds, you probably have more like 4 or 5 weeks til they finish
