Hello fellow growers, finally pulled the trigger and just waiting for some custom framing to arrive. Very excited to get these up and running. Kit arrived in two days from Rapid and outside of the absence of connector plates for the heat sinks, (they’re in with the optional framing kit) everything looks good to go.

Got some of the framing parts and pieces. Still have some parts outstanding but have this effort to show.

Been excruciating getting the holes on the heat sinks to line up, small holes 3mm, had to get an “Incra” scale to mark the holes into the substrate so I could then drill them. All the other hardware has shown up so hopefully no more hang ups.

Thanks BombBp, didn’t want to just go with the optional framing, found this 2020 square t slot and figured what the heck, I’ll do it. Am looking forward to getting this light swinging.

That looks really nice. Just out of curiosity, what type of chips come with that kit?

Now, I'm no pro but you might be able to space them out a lil more.

First cobs, so probably, these are just gonna run at 50 watts. Just applied general lighting spacing to spread out the light. Lights are spaced 8.5” c to c, and each row is 15” c to c, frame is 38” square.

@BombBP, have you or anyone else used the vero’s before? Not too sure of the little (and I mean really little) molenex connector to the cob frame. The connection wires are like hairs, very small.

I have Vero too, what's the question?
It's dc and low current, you're good... if that's the question

All good no questions. Thanks though.
@brazel how do you like the molenex connectors (for the Vero cobs)? Look like they could be “iffy”.

I like them but I also use them at work.
I do understand what you're saying though.

That is the primary reason I chose the SE version. I would use some Kapton tape to secure the wiring. That will prevent any strain issues.

@GBAUTO thanks, do the SE type use the same connectors or are they different, any pics of these?

They use poke in connectors. The Molex is fine but it does seem a lil bit delicate,I too use veros with the Molex connectors.
