Alright, so the idear here is to give a description to the screens you use and give an "A" grade to the full melt. Try to use words like 'trash', 'food grade', 'smoke-able', or 'FULL MELT'. All based on your best average assessment, as results may vary strain to strain, especially SA to IN.

Example:

220= trash
160= trash
120= food-grade/smoke-able
75= full melt
20= full melt A++

20= crap usually. its pretty strain specific. kush your full melt is around 100 but a sativa its much lower like 40-75

yea for me its:

220 and 160 are trash

120 produces hash that bubbles then burns

90 is great, melts fine...

73 seems to be the full melt...

45 bubbles then burns..

25 bubbles...

for me anyway...of course like said, it is strain dependant.

HOOKED

STRAIGHT

for my experiences the best for hash are the STRAIGHT

using some hooked make more easy to have GREEN into your final resin

hooked are good for cooking in my book,

talking about the best screen for Full Melt,

mostly 90u for me

220-160 = trash

120 = low grade most of the time. Gets made into edibles or QWISO.

90 = Full melt. Usually the biggest yield too.

73 = Full melt most of the time.

45 = Lower grade. Bubbles but then burns. Usually so-so quality.

25 = Lowest grade. Gets made into edibles or QWISO.

Under a microscope you can see that the 25 and the 120 usually have few, if any trich heads. The 90 and the 73 always collect the most and are the purest. The 45 starts to get some some crap it in but is still OK.

Friends there are so many varibles with a good "Pull".
But in my humble opinion....

• 220 screen stictly a work bag throw-away garbage.
  
• 160 screen I don't use, I let the 120 screen catch this.
  
• 120 screen produces mixed micron hash for give-aways and cooking
  
• 90 screen for me, is the "Keeper", pure hot liquid vapor.. bros...real full melt... usually.
  
• 73 screen will do the "melt"... but leaves a little carbon pattern
  
• 45, & 25 screen blisters and leaves carbon, great for snake joints.

Run 1

190 = Trash
160 = Food Grade
120 = Smokeable (very melty with certain strains)
90 = Near full melt or full melt depending on strain
73 = Full melt
45 = Near full melt, a deeper color, more robust smoke,
25 = just weird.


Run 2

160 = Trash
90 = B grade
45 = B grade

I just dump the b grade from the second run into the 120 from the first and leave that as all the b grade stock to just kick down n what not.

GREAT thread by the way. Should also mention that I run a iceolator machine, I refilter for the second run, and then run the machine twice, draining between then do one huge double bag pull to finish it off....gets the arms every time!

Should probably mention that I'm only using Sour Diesel trimmings. so that is what works best for the sd for me.

120 is always give away/community>I dont smoke that horseshit lol, only the 90 and 73 are what im after and the 45 does make great use for snake joints.
I have the 25u bag but dont even bother with it, infact with my 8 bag 20gallon set I only use

So far.....it looks like for the FULL MELT Run For The Roses Grand Event is shaping as follows:

90u with the no.1 lead.........
followed close behind by 73u........
then..trailing in..the stumbling 45u snaking her way into a joint!

i've found each strain to have different sized heads. so it's not consistent enough to give one rating for all hash. however i rate my hashes on a scale of 1-5.

1 - crap, used for edibles and giveaways
2 - bubbled for like .25 seconds, but it mostly turned black and then white ash.
3 - bubbly for quite some time, then turns black, then white ash.
4 - full melt
5 - i've never rated anything a five yet. i keep this open for the day i build a super cricitcal extraction vessel for co2- or something just spectacular i don't even know about.

i mostly rate it as follows:

220 = trash
190 = ratings of 1
160 = ratings of 1
120 = ratings of 2-3
90 = ratings of 2-4
73 = ratings of 3-4
43 = ratings of 2-4
25 = ratings of 1-2

shit........I went and bought some knock off bags from e-bay. I don't even think the micron ratings are right.lol
This is really why I started this thread so bubblebag noobs can have a reference when it comes to buying the right set.
Be lookin' for some smoke reports of mine coming in April though homie....gonna be some fire. Perhaps I'll bite the bullet and get some quality bags and do some proper fresh runs for ya. BTW thanks for the full melt porn, it made this thread worth viewing.

I'm new to this site. Been growing for 10 years. Been doing bubble hash. 90s the best. I agree with the consensus. 8 just bought a dry sifter. Im getting older and the bubble can be hard on the back. Has anyone used a dry sifter? Any advise would be appreciated. Just made a batch of bubble. Sweet..
