Article on juicing and eating the raw plant with many links: http://www.naturalnews.com/034599_medical_marijuana_juicing_cures.html

Has anyone tried this? I haven't started growing yet, but this seems to me like the perfect thing to do with vegetative growth rather than just throwing it on the compost heap.

I so have a few questions that others here many have answer for:

Would juvenile male plants be beneficial if eaten? Anyone know how the chemistry of males plants differ from females?

I'm likely going to be doing hydro when I do get started, I know bud is better flushed for a week before harvest, so should I assume veg would also be better eaten after flushing too and if so, how long should I flush?

How would I go about making a continuous high-yield veg crop? Would a plant be fine staying in veg with 24h lighting and frequent pruning for an extended time and what would the smell be like / how would I stop it from stinking too much?

i am going to try this this year... ive read a few articles on it and im really interested. the wife and i juice already so all i need is the plant (which are starting now outside) i dont know how the nutes affect the juice but i assume its the same as the veggies. i think well just use the soils nutes for our juicing plant.

throughout my readings ive found you need a ton of product. you can even use the stalks. im betting it will take a couple cups of fan leaves, to produce a little juice... damn though i found a chart a while back about the plant life, i think they used blue dream, and during veg there were higher rates of CBD in the stems and stuff, i cant find the chart anywhere online but i know theres something floating around that tells you when and what part to juice from the plant. if i find it ill post it here but im tire of looking now :) good luck!

Yes, the quantity is the biggest problem, and I just don't have enough controlled space. If I could be sure of odor control and be able to keep plants in vegetative state, I think I would be able to grow a little more, but that's a future experiment.

If you do dig up that chart it would be awesome to see :) I'll keep an eye out for it myself too...

Dr. William Courtney of Mendocino, CA, a “pot doc” who was profiled in the Washington Post last year because of his work with cannabis juice, recommends that patients juice 15-20 leaves per day. Cannabis leaves have the highest CBD levels, and are therefore best for juicing, when the plants are between 70-85 days old. Unfortunately, for patients who aren’t allowed to grow their own medicine, accessing so many leaves could be unrealistic for a full 30 days of juicing. But perhaps the state run dispensaries in AZ and NJ will catch on and create this healing juice? Only time will tell.
