if your ph is dropping that means your ec is to lowSo I'm running 0.9ec, is that too low?
pH dropping quickly. Went to 5.1 overnight. I brought it back to 5.9 gradually and she's heading down pretty quickly again.
I'm trying to wrap my thoughts around this. If his pH is dropping but his EC is not... wouldn't his ec drop too as they were feeding heavy? I'm trying to understand this sequence of operations and how they interact with each other. .if your ph is dropping that means your ec is to low
Thays gotta be tough on both of ya. I work 70-80 h a week right now too. I get a sweet soap smell from one of my ladies too. The toes made me throw up my breakfast, no big deal hahahaSorry about those toes lnao, my wife works 70 hozrs a week and i watch my schizophrenic older brother daily. I get bored and find weird shit. Got 6-7 weeks to go!
In ad? So she's eating again? So I'm running 0.9ec, is that too low?

so the roots have there own ecI'm trying to wrap my thoughts around this. If his pH is dropping but his EC is not... wouldn't his ec drop too as they were feeding heavy? I'm trying to understand this sequence of operations and how they interact with each other. .
root ec = what plant wants fed?so the roots have there own ec
if the nutrient solution is below the root ec it forces the root ec to consume itself...which in turn drops the ph the solution ec has to be equal to or higher than root ec
this technically only happens in water culture as media culture will differ with active microbes as well as cation exchange depending on media
you wouldnt see a nutrient solution drop if the nutrient solution isnt being consumedim home!!!! Aweeeeee...
root ec = what plant wants fed?
nutrient solution = my ec?
And if root ec<nutrient solution = -ph drop because
"the root ec it forces the root ec to consume itself."
Why dont we see that as a huge drop in nutrient solution ec?
Ya I'm familiar with the air stones causing flux.
I believe she is :DThays gotta be tough on both of ya. I work 70-80 h a week right now too. I get a sweet soap smell from one of my ladies too. The toes made me throw up my breakfast, no big deal hahaha

Awesome post combo there. I'm gonna read that right now.
Reading but fascinating stuff. So legumes roots have to release excess protons in an attempt to maintain EC balance with the surrounding solution and as such that's gonna drop the pH which can then cause further problems with nutrient uptake? Am I understanding this correctly?
so what day are we on right now?No airstones in the Rez right now. Would be killer to get pythium in the home stretch on both plants. Oof. How should I go about raising the EC just add the mix for 2g of the same solution currently in there or throw some cal mag in?
I'm brewing up some @Capulator tea right meow. I wonder what your thoughts on adding it to the Rez are...? Or should I keep it only on the soil/Coco girls (who are now awake and in their 12/12 cycle)...
Here's a picture of AD. I'll have to scroll back to get the exact day she's at.
EDIT: finally the picture uploaded function can do multiple photos at a time. It's truly a game changer. A decade late game changer but it's here now. Rejoice!

and a higer probability of ph drop when nutrients are unavailableThe plant exudes stuff to interact with the micro organisms.
It is to attract the specific biology that will release the exact nutrients it needs to live.
It can alter the ph to create a more hospitable environment for those microbes.
