Part of me is thinkin to get a 630w for the 4x4. Veg RDWC in the 250W and Flower RDWC in the 400W. The other keep things as is and add a 315cmh to the 3x3 for flower. Wondering if the extra cost will pay off almost immediately...

I like CMH
but I would say cmh in the 3x3 and just up the COBs in the 4x4 to say 12

Ok. Even if that's more costly?

upping the cobs would bring you to 600w and the cmh 315 is 300w so that would be a total of 900 @ the wall
seems reasonavle to me
the 3x3 would murder and so will the 4x4
think of how much you would gain in product

Whats this all about?

Up front. So plus 630w vs plus 515w. Question is 600W top bin cobs going to outperform 630W of CMH.... which compares to 1000w...

COB top bins IMO will outperform

how soft are you running your cobs
I run mine @2.1a so I have 4 in a 2x4 @300w and I actually want to double it in my 2x4
8 3590's @2.1a that would be equal to a gavita in a 2x4

I know this sounds crazy but I have seen this light in a 4x4
https://www.growersc.com/gc315
pull serious weight
close to 600g off 1 plant in a 4x4

600 would be overkill IMO

How's this for a 315CMH @Wisher619 @DemonTrich ?

More a question about the reflector than anything... worth the money for this one?

I just read some stories about 630w heat being way too much too. Love your advice! Would that growers choice compare to the prism/philllips/greenpeace combo? The extra $200 gonna pay off?

@Wisher619 I like your thinking on this. It's super helpful.

I'd probably do these LED, $399- unless something popped up on Craigslist

yeah the growers choice is really good IMO
it is only 299.00 for the fixture ballast and lamp combo
you really cant beat that

ok so you are running 1.4 if running the 36v
same wattage essentially
yeah that Tmber kit would work perfectly
that would hit 600 for the cobs in watts
really to upgrade you are talking 700.00
but to me even that would be made back my first run in equivalent cannabis

I mean
3x3 you can pull a #
and 4x4 2#
I mean judging in the market you are in
for me in cali that would be 3-5k worth of buds
so the 700 kinda is a wash
I only grow for my self
that would give me a shit ton of time to fuck around and test strains and pop beans and what not

Or just get a 630w and a 5x5... run the 400w in the 4x4 and grow 2 buckets to be monsters then run the soil/coco in a 5x5 so more room more plants.... hmmmmm
