Word. Just checked their prices on cob only are legit!!that led kit should be about 240w
but that kit is def just a aquarium kit
I would def go with something like Timber/Cutter orrrr
cheapy but effective
but the Timber and or Cutter kits are much more effective and alot better
if you are gonna piece everything together
Rapid has the cheapest price on Cree Cobs

Guess I'm not familiar with cutter kits...that led kit should be about 240w

no that isnt how that workslike this seems a good deal!
What mA 2100 or 1400 ?
If yours is 300 then is this one 250?
I can help you piece things togetherGuess I'm not familiar with cutter kits...
I'm trying to come up with a way to build out my led light 1 row at a time so I can afford it and build it out slowly... I was hoping I could build 100 watt strip for a 150...
I guess I'm trying to understand what would be better... 1 at a 100I can help you piece things together
it all depends on what Amps you want to run @
1050/1400/1600/2100
and how many cobs you want to get going
100w strips can be 1/2/3 cobs depending on what you are running
Ending with 800 to 1000 watts of cobs and I want it dimmable!I guess I'm trying to understand what would be better... 1 at a 100
1 over each plant so 8 of them when completed. The higher mA the less cobs needed right?
So do you think that is a good deal?
I want you to pick me a set up I can continue to build on. Starting at a 100w or 150w at 2100 mA.
Then every harvest I can add another 100 or 150 till I've completely replaced the hids. ..
So I could get 1 of what you got which is 2 cobs at 2100 mA and 1 mean well driver.no that isnt how that works
the driver is capable of 240w
but each cob @2100Ma will be running @75w
the math is
V x Ma =
so 36 x 2.1a=75.6
75.6 x 3=226.8
it isnt like car amps
but those are my drivers and cobs
I built 2 cobs per driver leaving space for future cobs so each 2 cob is 150w of cob
eventually I will rebuild with passive cooling a 6 cob array @2100Ma
wich will be about 450w....probably way to much for a 2x4
Potassium@Wisher619@mdm@eventhorizan good evening to all:)just wandering y'all's thoughts on this leaf. It's happening kind of randomly around the plant. Is this still a mg issue? The buds are looking a bit pale as well?View attachment 668456
I wouldnt actually go that routeSo I could get 1 of what you got which is 2 cobs at 2100 mA and 1 mean well driver.
And every harvest add another 1 till I got 6 of them...
How cheap can I get the 2 cob 150 watt setup?
I'm all ears brother... Give me your best 3 routes..I wouldnt actually go that route
Maybe pick what you want to get ultimately
then every chance you have some cash....get a few more parts
so when you do build it
you do it all at once
not one spot at a time
you can get the 2 cob relatively cheap
about $200.00
but there is a better route you can take then that
we first need to know the exact sqft you want to light up
we already know the wattage you are shooting for
so we can then see how many cobs can cover that sqft with that many watts and we can build from there
Thank you. @Wisher619 would that be under feeding during flower?Potassium
well in flower usually bloom nutes are higher in K so I am not sureThank you. @Wisher619 would that be under feeding during flower?
16 cobs only really cover a 4 x 4 spaceI guess I'm trying to understand what would be better... 1 at a 100

Wow... that's a lot.16 cobs only really cover a 4 x 4 space
you can cut that # down some but not by much
I mean you can go 12 cobs per 4x4 but that to me is bare minimum in that space
to get close to 1k you would have to run them soft @ 1.05a/1050ma
that will get you coverage but not the penetration
you would have to bump it to at least 1.4a which will put you at 1200w
but you are lookin @ easily $1500.00
yeah if you are trying to get it done nowWow... that's a lot.
I could put 4 cmh kits in there for $1000
1200 watts...
See those are the hard decisions...
I just want to cut down on my electric, and that means heat from lamps.
I'm about reducing my electrical foot print but not losing my yield which isn't nothing to brag about now as it is.
And then part of me says use the room for 1 harvest a year for max weight, and shut down for the other 9 months...
I'm just so torn on what to do. If my state would just get on board and quit trying to make a criminal out of me, then this would all be water under the bridge.
It's pathetic that a 100 miles away I wouldn't be a criminal...
