Hey guys wonder if you can help.. I got a 12 pot system and have set it all up however the water from the reservoir isn’t getting pumped around the pots.. the pump seems to working okay .. I have all the pots and reservoir on the floor all same level. Could this be the issue?

Any advice/ help would be greatly appreciated

Could we see some pics of your system? I agree with amnesiaHaze on this one. There needs to be some sort of gravity based system in place for the pump to work otherwise, like my father in law used to say, “ your shoveling shit against the tide.”

Yea but when pump starts sending water it will raise one side, if your lucky it will raise just enough not to spill.hope the pots have enough space above the pipe

Put your hand around the pump you should feel the water sucking in at least.

Yea blue is the pump and the green thing is the ball cock float thing. Switch pump on but it’s not pumping water through the black pipes

Nice set up! Can you remove the pump from the system to test it out on just a small reservoir to see if it is able to pump? You say it is making noise yet no movement of water.

Let us know how that goes. I would also think about the gravity aspect as well. This way the pump, if she is working won’t have to work harder to pump the water through your system.

probably not looks like one of those magnetic simple ones.but it looks like they made it specially for their containers soo it probably needs to click somewhere to make a seal soo it can send water.yea let us know if the pump moves water at all around it selfe

Ok so the pump is spiting out water .. I’ve never grew in this system before but as I said earlier the pump is working. Should I be able to see water movement in alm
The 12 pots ? To me it looks like it isn’t circulating . My friend says maybe is lightly moving the water . I don’t think it is but should you visibly see water movement between the pots

You mentioned that it is spitting out water. I am not sure what you mean by spitting out water. A pump should be an even flow of water. There sounds as though there is an issue with this pump. This again is solely based on your description of “spitting out water.”

I cannot see water moving between my totes.
My return is rigged for a return waterfall , which is split in two.
So I can see my flow return , but again not movement between pots.
In my particular set up I have a drain in each hooked to a slightly smaller pump to drain and while not draining to send small streams to each tote disrupting the surface to create O2.
Enjoy and good luck with the new set up.
