Welcome to Cannabis Photography
This forum is for cannabis photography: plant shots, bud shots, trichomes, macros, harvest photos, dry/cure photos, canopy shots, and clean grow-room photography.Use this thread as the quick guide for where to post, how to label your photos, and how to keep the forum easy to browse.
Before you post photos
- Upload images directly to THCFarmer. Do not hotlink outside image hosts.
- Keep it cannabis-photography related. Plant, flower, bud, trichome, harvest, and grow-room photos belong here.
- Use the right section. Camera questions, upload problems, lighting help, macro/trichome questions, and video questions belong in Photography Help.
- Protect your privacy. Do not show faces, license plates, mail, addresses, street signs, tracking labels, recognizable locations, or anything that identifies you or someone else.
- No buying, selling, trading, soliciting, or hookups. Keep the thread about photography and cultivation discussion only.
- No trolling, flaming, spam, duplicate posts, porn, or personal information.
Where should I post?
- Main Cannabis Photography forum: cannabis plant, bud, flower, cola, canopy, trichome, harvest, dry/cure, and grow-room photos.
- Photography Help: camera/phone settings, macro help, lighting, color correction, upload help, video help, or “how do I get a cleaner shot?”
- Other Pics: non-cannabis photography, pets, nature, hobbies, gardens, landscapes, and general photo sharing.
- Cannabis Infirmary / Grow Help: pests, deficiencies, sick plants, harvest-readiness questions, and troubleshooting threads that need cultivation advice.
Useful photo threads
- Let’s See Your Frostiest Flowers — frosty flower and bud shots.
- DoobieDuck’s Macro Cannabis Images — macro inspiration and close-up cannabis photography.
- Post Your Own Shareable Pics — casual community photo sharing.
- Photo of the Month — nominate eligible THCFarmer attachment photos posted during the current month.
Make your photo thread more useful
When posting a plant or bud photo, include as much of this as you can:
- Cultivar / strain:
- Flower day or week:
- Indoor or outdoor:
- Lighting:
- Camera / phone / lens:
- What kind of feedback you want, if any:
Example:
Cultivar: Blue Dream
Stage: Week 6 flower
Lighting: LED, white-light photo
Camera: iPhone, no filter
Feedback wanted: color accuracy and trichome clarity
Quick photo tips
- Turn blurple/grow lights off and use neutral white light when you want accurate color.
- Wipe your lens before shooting.
- Tap to focus on the bud, pistils, or trichomes.
- Use a tripod, box, table, or steady hand rest for macro shots.
- Avoid digital zoom; move closer or crop afterward.
- Post one close-up and one wider context shot when asking for feedback.
- Pick your best shots instead of posting many near-duplicates.
