Hello all,

I have this Roadrunner on flowering day 42.
Stems are in DEEP purple.
very very sugary.. as you'll see in the pic. Trichs everywhere!

Some of the trichs are as clear as crystal, most are cloudy, and few are a bit more bronze colored.

The plant has already received it's first two clean R/O water cycles before harvest.

------------

When do you say I should remove it?
Will it get more purple? will there be purple leaves?

i think they are too green. keep flushing

I have been growing for around 3 years and have pulled around 30-40 harvests. After reading the following link, I think I may have been pulling too early

http://www.invalid.com/harvesting-curing/210501-zeuss-take-harvesting.html

this next harvest I am going to let it go a few extra days. According to many in that thread, there is no harm in letting it go a few extra days

Hey guys, tried a roadrunner auto last round. I took it 80 days from seed, trichs were 75% milky 25% amber, nice little frosty plant. Don't know if that helps you out or not, good luck and Grow on, Fred

yeah I tend to agree with SpruceZeus. I am a novice grower but is seems like common sense to let the plant fully ripen in the manner he suggests.

I'm in generally agreement with the link to Sprucezues' post. It seems like some newbies are fooled by the "amber" they see in their trichs because they're under an HPS light. ("Hey! I think they're 100% amber!")

Before I had ever heard about trich color, I used to wait until the growing tips of the buds no longer had fresh, white pistils. Of course, that's not foolproof, either.

The best way to ensure I don't harvest too early is to make sure I don't run out of
good weed before my next crop is ready.;)

IMHO> Still too early. I find some strains that are recommended as 8 week are much better at 10 weeks. Patience pays off here.

As the plant eats its reserves during the flush the colors can come out. Lower nighttime temps can help to bring out the colors. (i have done this)

Or giving the plants a dose of 50 degree water. (I have not tried this, have read about other members doing it)

Good eye mister dirt, that bronze is not amber trich's. Looks like hps glare

Here is a popular pic that shows the stages trichs go through.
