You should be checking the trichomes on the bract itself. Sugar leaf trichomes turn faster than the buds themselves. Also whole plant photos will help alot too.

I agree with @growsince79 -- you will enjoy either way. I've also heard "only look at trichomes on the buds turning amber/not on sugar leaves" many times. Great job, take a bow.

Personal preference at this point. I personally would wait a week, but as mentioned above you can chop now.

Thanks for all the responses I chopped on Thursday and they are drying at 64 degrees and 58% rh. looking forward to it!
