Yeah I actually just inquired with a local lab and unfortunately they just do Canabinoid testing right now not terpene profiles.. I will probably still get it tested tho just to see what's up.Are you going to get those tested Shamus? It sure would be cool to start a database and collect all that data in one place. With a search engine that actually allows you to search for other cannabinoids besides cbd. But having old school genes like you have would be extremely interesting to see the full results.
DMT?? Now you just outed yourself..LOL yea man, i know what you mean :)
The one I just picked seeds out of (79' christmas bud) smells like burnt DMT
Who tests for these cannabinoids?I am personally interested in these more less common more rare cannabinoids like CBG,GBC and THCv. So I am asking if anyone out there knows of strain or cuts that have been shown to carry these cannabinoids, post it here.
Erg. I know that SC Labs can test for terpenes, but I didn't have that done (didn't know about it til I got my test results back). But, I'm seeing good comments from some old timers on FB about this test kit: http://www.thctestkits.com/I just got an email back from one of the main labs we have been using and even though they list all the cannabinoids in there write-ups, they dont test for any of the other cannabinoids except cbd. So all the testing we have been doing isn't showing us the data we need. Talk about agravating...lol
I like what your hitting at 420 maybe we could compile a simple form to collect data from patients all around. If someone did that, the farm would be a good place as any to start by sending each one of its members a printable copy for each one to circulate amongst friends and send back. Also we could get people to rep. this poll at any cannabis related event. Within a year anyone with interest in the medical effects could participate and we would have a solid building block of data started. The fact is there is so much that can be learned from data out there that has not been collected. Anyone up for a the job?lolAs far as building a database that compiles input from patients, that might be best done by starting a thread for each ailment, disease or condition, for example, pain. I can report that Indicas tend to help with the types of pain in my life, but details would require lots of space and I expect most people are like that. A form or poll might help, maybe a list of conditions and ask for people's experiences with specific strains, to get a feel for general directions.
Lot of the work is already started, like mentioned about PTSD, there are several strains popular as treatment, would be cool to help narrow down which strains work best by making them available to different patients. The current different choices might be simply the local availability.
Once a condition and strain are identified, closer analysis of the strain profile might reveal which compounds are helping.
