RJ, that article made me sick to my stomach. The scene in CO is similar, because it's gold rush season... Some cities are banning, yet some are going in the other direction- Breckenridge decriminalized 1 oz or less with a 72% majority vote. Silverthorn (or Dillon, don't remember) spelled out regulations for dispensaries similar to liquor stores. Yet Pueblo banned dispensaries. Our City Council is forming a Medical Marijuana Task Force to include members of all factions of the industry as well as law enforcement, city planning, "concerned citzens", etc. This task force will come up with regulations, etc and present them to the public before presenting them to city council for a vote. This democratic approach was due to a large presence patients, caregivers, dispensary owners, etc letting city government know our feelings. I'll keep you posted as to the status of our fair city. For now, they're leaving legal operations alone, with promises to consider the "grandfather clause" for businesses already open in questionable locations, etc. We'll see.
