Description Mexican strains Marijuana Botany

Michoacan strains tend to have very slender leaves and a very high calyx-to-leaf ratio as do Guerreran strains, but Oaxacan strains tend to be broader-leafed, often with leafier floral clusters. Oaxacan strains are generally the largest and grow vigorously, while Michoacan strains are smaller and more delicate. Guerreran strains are often short and develop long, upright lower limbs.

These are Oaxacans, while at the back you see the Black Seeds, which have slender leaves.IMO Reeferman used a Michoacan strain for the Black Seed variety.

Yeah, the Oaxacans are pure. There a few Spanish seedbanks like Ace Seeds, Delicatessen Seeds and Astur Jaya where you can find good old landrace varieties. In the early 90s Sensi had a pure Oaxacan, but they changed their Mexican sativa.Probably it is a hybrid of Pollypak (Mexican x Pakistani) x Durban. The Pakistani made this variety vulnerable for mold.

Reeferman is the other seedbank which has the old good varieties and i'm glad he still has them.
