I'm sorry I didn't mean vegging times. I was curious about is there something that determines different veg stages or is it by personal opinion? In the sense of time 4 weeks is normal for most of us, I used to go 6 weeks until I wanted more than 1 harvest a year, as to lights ect. someone else can chime in. SS
4 week veg for seeds
6 week veg for clones from the day cut
I scrog every plant but do it during their flower stretch.

It's all about size for me, I f can get up about 2 ft. I am ready to flower and stretch another 2 ft. depends on the strain as well. Lot's of variables here to consider. SS
Like @SSgrower said there are lots of variables. Height is my main obstacle. I don't "wait" to scrog. Training plants during the stretch period of flower helps me maintain a short plant. Is there a reason why you wait till flowering?
Maybe considered aggressive? This may have been answered and is of opinion per person.
When vegging what is considered regular vs aggressive?
I gotta disagree. It totally depends on strain and setup. In my garden 4 plants flipped at 12" easily out produces 2 plants vegged longer. It's not even close...4 plants switched to 12/12 at about 20"-24' will easily out produce 8 plants flowered at 12" to 16."
I grow in a 2 x 4 closet. I can veg 4 plants 30 days and get a pound, or I can veg 2 plants 50 days and get a pound, or I can veg 1 plant 70 days and get a pound. For me, the only thing a longer veg does is make more stems, larf, and work. I still haven't broke the 2oz/sqft barrier and I quit trying.I grow under nets. It works like a charm for me ... It does depend on setup and probably some other factors.
Big difference there.I grow in a 2 x 4 closet. I can veg 4 plants 30 days and get a pound, or I can veg 2 plants 50 days and get a pound, or I can veg 1 plant 70 days and get a pound. I'm doing drain to waste hydro using hydroton. I mean aggressive as in a lot of leaves vs what I have now but it is a lot.I think it comes down to your grow method. Aggressive with RDWC and CO2 is different from soil in a window sill. To me aggressive means adding as much mass to the plant as quickly as the genetics allow. There are things we can do to optimize.
how are you growing?
When I said aggressive I meant it's full on veg with lots of leaves vs one starting to veg. It say aggressive on the bottle. I believe I have 5 main colas so I'm trying to figure out if I switch up to a 321 schedule now or wait."Aggressive" is a dangerous term. It seems to suggest that us growers are doing something to force our plants to grow faster and larger. That approach usually backfires because it gives a person the idea that they can force plant growth by over-feeding, etc.
Most of my plants are scrogged and I don't go by "weeks of veg." I go by how full are my nets. Veg time can be as long as 8 weeks in some instances. I live in a legal state that has a 12 plant limit so I tend to grow fewer plants that are larger than many growers will attempt. 4 plants switched to 12/12 at about 20"-24' will easily out produce 8 plants flowered at 12" to 16."
