Hey all,

So I have to relocate first week of november and I have this autoflower which is 67 days old (i think i started counting a week late) and many have been saying i need more time with this autoflower which i wont have more than 5 days if i am supposed to give it 4-5 days cure.

can anyone guide me? thank you

The first question is whether the plant is ready to be chopped. Max THC happens around the time all the bud trichomes turn from clear to cloudy, which we check with a loupe or some kind of magnifier. Some people like to let their plants run longer, to get more of a body high. It's a matter of preference. After we chop, we dry the weed. Lots of ways to do that. I like to hang plants whole, in a dark space with the temp around 70F and the RH around 60%. I like a slow dry for 10-14 days. When the stems snap internally (but not externally) when you bend them, I think they're ready for curing. Lots of ways to cure. I've used mason jars, burping daily, initially, and then less often. At some point, you'll want to trim. Some people trim wet, before drying. I trim after drying, and before curing. There are lots of variations, you're short on time, and we don't know how far along your plants are. I don't think you have time to complete a proper cure before moving. Could you chop right before you move and then start your dry in your new place?

hey thanks for replying.

i understand that 15 days is needed for proper drying and curing, but i wont have that luxury. thats my first plant with proper looking buds.. i failed 7x previously because of stress and stunt.

I am changing countries so i wont be able to fly with it.

details on seeds said 10 weeks growers choice brain damage. 24h lighting. looking at the buds on the plants they look milky as can be seen from the pic... pistils are changing to amber and i suspect by friday most should be amber.

worst case scenario if i harvest early, what should i expect in terms of taste and high

Anytime you harvest early, the quality will suffer to some extent, depending on how early! But it is what it is! I’d be more worried about flying with it.

in my case it wouldnt be that early isnt it looking at it its really on its final days as no new pistils coming about

Given the international move and your timing, I'd chop it today and dry it as much as you can. No way for me to predict how the high and experience will change, except to say that it would be different with a proper dry and cure. You're in "it will be what it will be" territory. Which might not be bad.

honestly i withheld my business because of this plant.. last time i went 5 days and left the plant, the plant literally died.

I might just chop her day 70 if a couple days might help and focus on drying and curing.

its got a proper hay smell until i smell deeper which is kinda fruity.

I don't get why you even bother asking. You've made your mind up and you can't take it with you so just cut it and move on. A stupid auto flower plant and you "withheld my business " priorities man.

bro .. since little i stole plants and never did my own .. its actually one of my dreams to do it on my own like a literal life objective to smoke my own shit. So this time i want it to come through.

i havent made my mind bro i was hesitating between friday or tuesday and compromise on the drying a little. so you guys point of view does help in drawing a final conclusion.
