Hey all I am getting ready to crop my plants and usually when I do I cut them down and hang to dry with RH at 40%. I was wondering if I remove all fan leaves first then cut and hang to dry will they dry faster?

Faster? than what? You want a 7-10 day minimum at least, if they be fatter go longer for sure. A slow even dry hang, no fluctuation in temps and rh. fresh circulated air.
No direct air on buds.......................................................
I do a complete trim before I hang, I want an even dry. leave em on the stems to do "snap the stem test".
Leaving extra leaves/larf on on your hanging harvest will give off extra moisture around ur buds, cause uneven drying.
If you get the rh too low (depending on temp) your buds could dry too fast.
Temp 65-75 degrees F.
.... below 65 buds take to long, above 75 and can dry too fast
RH 45% - 55%.
below 45% buds dry to quick, above 55% dry slow
These temps are just a reference to be within. try to find the happy mdium.

A lot depends on how much u harvest... If bulk...peeps tend to leave more leaves on their hanging bud cause of time constraints, lack of help, or don't care.
The most critical time for your whole grow is the drying and curing.
