Hypothetically, in vegetative state,
If a 1 gallon reservoir lasts a week (before needing to be changed) does a 5 gallon reservoir last 5 weeks (with all other factors being accounted for, such as increased plant need due to growth, evaporation, and transpiration)?
Or, as applied in my RLS: If I'm having success changing my 9 gallon reservoir every 2 weeks, can I safely assume increasing that to a 45 gallon reservoir would cut reservoir changes down to once every... 10 weeks or so (as long as I keep it topped up with fresh nutrient solution)?

Sort of... your problems there will probably be keeping your pH at bay

i'm in coco, but have 50g. res. i use food grade phosphoric acid for ph down and it is pretty stable once adjusted.

I use sulfuric. It's much less expensive.

yea dtw, my veg res hold ph for 10-14 days before it runs out….not sure how much longer it it would be good for.

i bought a gallon about a year ago and still have over 3/4 gallon left. i never priced the sulfuric thanks for the tip.
