Residue free Hydroguard alternative for DWC?

So I'll be running a DWC solo bucket from CC.

I want the bucket to stay as clean as possible and have no residue

I was going to run Hydroguard, but it's $30 for a quart

Is there a cheaper alternative that doesn't gunk things up?

I like hydroguard because it's a super clean, clear solution

I have Great White and love it and used it for years, but again I don't want to gunk up the DWC anymore. I know Orca exists, but again, I think it gunks things up compared to hydroguard

I know a lot of times there are powder alternatives that are much cheaper than something like Hydroguard.

Any suggestions on a residue free alternative?

If it helps, I've been using Southern Organics. My nutes stain my roots anyway so I'm not sure if the sag is contributing to it. It gets diluted 20:1 then only 1ml per gal. I can't see such a small amount of such a diluted solution cause any problems, but I have no evidence of that.
