I think residents can buy a zipper per shop per day. That's more than enough, frankly.

More than enough?
What if the resident lives way out in the mountains and only comes down for supplies once a month?
or less in the winter?
Who are you or anyone to say how much is enough?

Folks can buy enough liquor to kill them selfs..
Or tylenol for that matter.
But there is no way to buy enough weed to kill a person.. unless it's heavy enough to crush them

Yes but what about the children....once the parents get on it they will become totally irrational and put their babies in the oven, thank god they are too stoned to figure out how to turn it on....
That line was once used in a forum in local paper, I replied all stoners know to pre heat over to 375 before inserting babies...
Really pissed them off.....

ChickMan, I got mouths to feed herbs. My patients want fat bud filled bowls covered with honey oil syrup , and sprinkled with a 1/16 thick of kief, and a 3' butane flame to take massive brain altering hits that make us blow snot out our noses.

2OZ at $300" aint enough herb to make our hash, kief and bud for 1 person and howz a ColoradoN going to afford our Meds for myself and my patients? this is my sarcastic humor making fun of all of us.

Agreed but really whats to stop you from going to 10 different places and getting a quarter at each place or for that matter just walking back in the same place and getting another one?Its probably one quarter per transaction.Their is no way to track how much you buy only that its a quarter zip at a time, kind of a stupid law in a way unless im missing something.Maybe they think someone will OD on weed if they sell him too much, lol.

It's not illegal to go to different shops or to possess more than 0.25 ounces, so nothing is stopping you from that (and the intention isn't to stop you). I believe the shop has to keep your info on file for the day so that they don't sell to you twice.

That's a good thing. It means the market is responding in the way it should. Ultimately this leads to competition and a situation where the price comes down over time. Things like supply previously had no appreciable or lasting impact on the price, now it very clearly will. One of the short term pains and long term benefits of not operating on a black market.

There is abolutely a way to track how much you buy so get ready..all retail locations are going to required to us the same "MITS" state monitored software system..every sale, every transaction, all movement at the wholesale and retail will be updated in pretty much real time...and if you thought you were just going to walk in and flash your ID and go..Wa wa wa silly rabbit, trix are for kids, my guess is that they are goin to record or simply swipe all your information from your state or out of state ID..the state is goin to really want to know how much is sold to locals and to out of staters and only way to do it is to record the info..just like every purchase at a mmc is now, if you buy there now the state knows all your personal info and how much you are buying as well as your history in pretty decent detail..they track your card number with the quickness thru the new software

Dunno if I missed it or it isn't there.....but I can see no provision in the rec law that PROTECTS such info as it is protected in the MMJ realm. If they are tracking which patients buy weed under A20...and how much...they would be stretching it/breaking the law as written to use the info outside the system itself.....wheras with rec/Amendment 64...there's no illusion of "Doctor/Patient" protection in play....it's merely a retail transaction of a Class 1 Controlled Substance. Down the line....they could use this info in all sorts of devious ways on a State and Fed level.

Boy, what a difference 60 miles north makes.

Everyone I know up here is up to their eyeballs in the stuff. It has been that way since November for most of us.

Just gonna sit back and watch....has to be a lot better than watching the Broncos shit the bed last night. Hearing that only a few retail shops will have a license on the 1st and if true there will be a shortage immediately. You would be STUPID not to take advantage if this happens. Might even have an action and let the highest bidder take it. Prices might come down as the shortage dissipates with more shops opening and competition takes over.
Heard today that they were going to lower the med license I think to $15 and that med shops will have a distinct price advantage because of lower taxes.

Im betting 40-50 an 1/8 for tops and 90 or so 1/4 ...simply due to taxation. Which means top shelf prices outside of clubs will prob be on the rise

Lino... Thanks again for the kind words and support... Sometimes I get in work mode and we dont always get positive feed back. Mostly from complaints about running out of product. The better the product gets the faster it sells and I can only work with what i got... Please let me know what i can do to help you out... Im really close with the owners and we are all looking to put our stamp on this growing industry. Im also starting a seed company called green labs and plan on dropping seeds on this website early next year. Im sure we will meet soon

What do you all think it will sell for at the retail shops. I believe sales are limited to a 1/4 zip, how will that work. 1/4 zip per day hour or what???

$80 quarter, $100 an ounce. LOL.

No telling, but I have a feeling that supply and demand with competition will affect more than any centrally planned benevolent decision by committee.

Just seems they would want to advertise WHO you can buy from.
"Colorado cannabis regulators will not be releasing an official statewide list of stores fully approved to open on Jan. 1 for recreational marijuana sales."
http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_24805230/list-colorado-recreational-marijuana-stores-open-jan-1

And then the Denver Relief guy was telling Forbes he saw 90's prices in the short term.

Oh, and 3-D is back...(with their million dollar grow facility) :) @1:27 just incase you want to see how it's done! (Laughing on the outside, but crying on the inside {poor SOBs gonna pay out the nose for that stuff.})
"money does grow on trees, and it's called the cannabis plant."...that almost sounds like "it's my golden ticket." Recreational does make it easier, now instead of 'medicine' they can just call it 'money'.
http://www.cnn.com/2013/12/28/us/10-things-colorado-recreational-marijuana/

I got popcorn, soda...The show's starting.

I saw a list of all the state approved locations but not one that included fully (city and state) licensed setups yet, there is goin to be very few but way more than you would think..its that 30 public posting and public hearing requirement that is the kick in the ass, 30 days is 30 days no matter how you look at it and very few jumped out there super fast to sign up and on top of that there was another round of ownership shuffles goin on gettin ready for the "VI" model to go away in October...the show is about to begin though, I totally agree with that..med prices are already goin up and for the most part they are goin to ride the black market street prices all the up as high as they can, med and rec will be priced the same for the most part but I wouldn't be suprised to see $45-$55 1/8ths right out of the chute and then in about 30-45 days when there is a vacuum of no product they will probably rachet it up a little more..I think MIP's guys may have the golden ticket but we shall see.

So obviously there will be a shortage in the near future. What do you think with the current for profit model and the insane taxes they've put on the product the end cost will be as things start to stabilize? 1/8th or 1/4 or OZ. And what do you think true top shelf product will go for wholesale once they allow just growers to be licensed later in 2014. With all of the already large grows on the medical side how much lower do you think wholesale will go? Your opinions are always interesting.
