Thanks to everyone for the interest and help.
We just got a reverse osmosis filter (specifically hydrologic stealth 200) and we are particularly concerned with adding calmag to restore the water.
We are running ebb and flow system with reservoirs and are just now setting up the system and will add 5ml per gallon initially.
From what I know: (I think anyway LOL!)
Add 5ml calmag plus per gallon to restore calcium, magnesium and iron
1. Is this straight across the board, meaning that we add this amount to ALL RO water that we add to top off the reservoirs, etc? 2. Do we add the same amount (5ml/gal) all the time?
3. Is this like a rule of thumb to go by and must do for all RO water?
Is there anything else we (everyone) should know about using RO water?
As always any help is appreciated and welcomed and thanks in advance!
