Two hygrometers, both reading mid to high 50s rh and I have a scrubber and fan on the 4x4 tent venting into the same room. There is a small dehumidifier outside the tent that struggles to keep the rhbelow 55 in the tent and keeps it around 50 outside the tent.
As soon as I unplug the dehuey the rh in the tent drops to around 40% and slowly rises to around 45%...
I'm perplexed
Not sure man, that defies logic. Does the temperature change with it unplugged or plugged in? A dehu besides removing moisture also releases a lot of heat, which also typically lowers RH since the air can hold more moisture.
I would say by adding humidity to the air you're surpressing evaporation from the soil. And then when you turn the dehumidifier off, it drops, and then rises, as that's the lag it takes for the specific heat to get transferred to latent heat.
