I recently installed 1" in. rigid insulation on my grow room walls. My room is in an outside structure on my property and it gets pretty cold at night. I figure the insulation should preserve heat pretty well while my lights are off... has anybody used rigid insulation on their rooms before?

Yes, with good results but only in attics.

thanks hererisssh.....my buddy has a spot in his attic and he reccomended the stuff, because my spot is in a fortified metal shed... I had to make some modifications, I just finished all the 1" insulation on the entire shed, this not only is beneficial for preserving some heat but it also allows for minimum light leaking. The little light that does leak out is gonna be fixed with that spray foam or reflective industrial gorilla tape....how thick is the insulation you use for attic spots hereisssh???

My Growtents Have Constantly Rotted Away , So For The Last Couple Of Years I Have Been Making Growrooms Using Celotex TuffR
I Find It By Far The Easiest Way To Build A Efficient Growroom That Is Insulated For All Seasons
A Bread Knife And A Can Of Spray Glue And Some Cheap Caulk Are All Thats Needed
( A 1/4 Inch Strip Of Wood On The Cieling Will Support A Heavy Reflector And Filter And Fan , No Problem)

Heres One That Only Needs It's Door Put On ( The Door Is A Garland Giant Drip/Catch Tray With Hinges On One Side ; It Slides Snug And Flush Into It's celotex Surround )

Kingspan Rigid Insulation Is Cheaper Than Celotex

Same og, that 1 inch rigid does the trick nicely. Thicker couldn't hurt though.

That Celotex Tuff-R looks pretty good PP. How big are the sheets and how much do they go for per?
